I probably won't make a good first impression with this post....

If anyone happened to watch Sports Center this morning that made a reference to K-State football.  They were talking about the most difficult teams to coach, like Kentucky, Notre Dame, the Yankees, Cowboys, etc.  And someone said something to the effect "you can't tell me those are hard places to coach. What about places like Mississippi State, Washington State and Kansas State?"

Any thoughts on being one of the most irrelevant football programs again?

somewhere about 40,000 feet  American Airlines is laughing its ass off.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I love how you didn't dance around first before just jabbing that rhetorical screwdriver into his metaphorical neck.
“My arm gets tired from doing this,” said coach Bill Snyder, waving his arm.

Yes, because MHK is a thriving metropolis.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

Of BCS conference football programs, Kansas State is certainly in the top 10 of toughest places to coach, if by "tough" you mean lacking in many recruiting advantages...

Wash St, Miss St, Indiana, Duke, Iowa St, Kansas....to name a few others...

I gotta think OSU is a damn tough place to coach football.  OU owns you for recruits and wins.  You will finish a best of 3rd in your div every year.  The North teams routinely beat your ass.

The reason ku wasn't mentioned is because very few on ESPN know they play football there.

    me ten years from now
Michigan, UCLA, Mississippi, Alabama would be the toughest places to coach.
However Washington State, Idaho, Washington are some of the crappiest programs.

Dude, you're from Emporia.  At least the entire town of Manhattan doesn't smell like a packing plant.

First post - I'm a Husker fan (but believe in the "don't poop on someone else's lawn" rule so have ZERO intention of stirring the pot here), and recently registered so that I could keep reading here.  Really like this board.  Lots of insight into both KSU Football and Basketball, plenty of attitude and dark humor.

I'd say KSU could be a tough place to RECRUIT to, but not a tough place to coach - plenty of fan support and $$$ at KSU.  Lincoln isn't the easiest either, though.  I'd like to see both programs back at the top and competing for North and Conference titles.

ku didnt have a football team since the Orange Bowl victory over Va. Tech.  Has KSU ever won a BCS bowl?

Just so you know, college football was actually played prior to 2007.  Just sayin'.

Don't understand the Washington angle. Everytime I see their campus and open ended stadium I want to go there. Great place. The other two... Not so much.

QFT.  Definitely one of the most beautiful stadium views in the country.  Mountains to one side, huge ass sailboats to the other.  I would certainly not be opposed to playing my college ball in that place.

racist area of country.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
