mangino 3rd is the most ridiculous sh*t, ever. dude is 22-34. shows you what people think about the ku job
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Shouldn't it have been based on what you have done, not if you team is going to suck next season (ksu)

that stat of Snyder going 9-13 in his last two years is so overplayed. every program goes through rebuilding years following Championship runs and he was set up to rebound in '06 but, instead, he let the Fraud reap the benefits of his players that year.
Show me defense.

TBH, sad to say but Prince got the most out of the '06 team IMO

Plus, would have been Dylan "glass shoulder" Meyer @ QB w/o ron

Sherman above anyone in that poll pretty much invalidates everything except the Mangino entry, which was obviously right on the money

didn't read the article, didn't read this thread, assuming it's one thing bitching about the other.   my bbs skill set is amazing.

    The "other" KSU
A taskmaster wifebeater who never has been given anything, the "hard-working" Mangino has made Kansas relevant* on a national level compared to perhaps the weakest Big 12 North. And that's no small task when you consider his girth he inherited a talent-poor roster and some of the Big 12's worst facilities - but not nothing compared to Bill Snyder. Look at the Jayhawks now, in the midst of one of the most successful runs in school history – 20-6 vs teams who's combined records were 103-124 in the past two seasons and 25-35 prior to that, with two bowl wins and a shared Big 12 North title because they cannot win one by themselves. And the Jayhawks will be everyone's preseason Big 12 North favorite?

*since Sept 2007

I wonder how high he would have been if the ku thing would have been written a little more accurately?

nope, he isn't the best ever. Mangina isn't the 3rd best in this conf - that is all I am pointing out. After his first year, people were stroking Charlie Weis - now they want to hang him. Just trying to make a point about our conf.

You are elite(ist)  ;)

I disagree, I feel that the team in '06 was able to do that well despite having Ron as their head coach.  Also it would've been AE at quarterback.

Ok Gary Pinkel and Snyder should at least switch he had 1 decent year and 1 good year and he gets 5th thats  :bs:. I think Art Briles is a good coach but not 6th worthy.
He's not the fastest guy in the BIG XII he's the fastest guy in the country.

How is Gundy not higher than Sherman, Hawkins and Briles? He went to a bowl last year. The other guys are hacks. No-one puts a shine on a four win season like Briles. The baptists love him. Let's see: They beat Northwestern ST, Wash ST, ISU and aTm. Did the 4 schools combined win 10 D-1 games? Snyder would only be behind Leach (not in the gay way) due to the layoff.

:crybaby: Uhh you know there was a man that took a program in 1989 in much worse shape that has done a pretty good job and is now back and ready to kick your Jayhawk @$$.
