Just reserved my room this afternoon. Went to this the last two years and had to stay at crappy places far away from the stadium but got lucky this year and will stay at a crappy place that couldn't be closer to rosenblatt...

Rosenblatt isn't going to be there much longer.  Catch a game at that dump while you still can! Pak'r at the dave house may be in order.

I think 2010 is the last CWS there then they knock the f^cker down to make way for the Panda exhibit.  They already broke ground on the new place downtown.  They completely f^cked the Omaha Royals so the moved to Sarpy County Omaha and are building a stadium near my house.  The brand new facility will have baseball played in it 2 weeks out of the year.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
The CWS is weird.  I know, like a ton of people that make it a point to go up there, but never know of anyone that has watched/cared about it, or even care about college baseball.

Yeah, lots of people like that.  Good annual father-son type thing too imo.

I'm moving to the Omaha area after graduating, what's the likelihood I could go and buy a ticket on the street for a random game? and how much would one cost? tia
“Nobody plays harder than Kansas State.  Bilas said that to me in person,” Martin said. Now, does that mean that I’m happy every day?  No, because it’s our job to continue to get those guys to continue to grow.”

you'll be able to "buy a ticket" very easily. getting in is another issue. a lot of the tickets are GA tickets and don't guarantee you entrance. they sell roughly 4 bajillion GA tickets, but only so many people get in. the line for ga is long and starts hours before a game. my favorite part of the cws is watching how many turkeywhackers get ga tickets and then stand in line behind the stadium for hours waiting to get in. this does not look fun.

1) go here to read up about things... http://www.cwsomaha.com/

2) either pick out a game you might want to go to in advance and then get on ticketmaster the second they start selling them to purchase a non GA seat. they sell out within a few hours.

OR

wait until you know what teams are in and call the team's ticket office. we did this last year w/ FSU and got very good tickets. Go Seminoles!!!
