In Freeman we trust! (a little Bandwagonish but what they heck, a win is a win).

I don't think anyone thinks we will be undeafeated for the next 3 years, but it is very clear just how much better he is than Meier, and today he singlehandedly won the game.

Talent wins.

Brains and experience don't.

I'm excited, too.  I wanted Freeman to start against Ill. St.

I still think we'll finish 5-7, though.

5-7? Who do you think we'll beat the rest of the way, ISU or CU? We have four winnable games left in NU, ISU, CU, and ku. I think we take two of those.

All games but UT are winnable, IMO.  I just think we only take one of them...ISU or CU.

Every game is winnable (even Texas) and therefore we should assume we get half.

3.

What a difference winning a close game can make. We seem to have a couple of very young players headed towards stardom. Several players stepped up this week. Esp the line! I think we have some very good young players. Winning cures a lot of ills! LOL I think we could win a couple more games. One caveat! Our team could still continue to show marked improvements. A lot to look foreward to imo.

One contrast, ku found a way to lose a very close game that I thought they  should have won. KSU managed to overcome a bad third quarter to win a very tough game.  :ksu:

    This ZERO is my Hero
I think we have a good shot to win in all remaining games, but i also think it is unrealistic to think Freeman won't have some bad games.  Hopefully, going into Columbia will prepare him for road games at ku and ISU, which won't be as bad, in my opinion.

If we don't win 6 games, then it will be because of some missed opportunities, i.e. what ku is doing.  Kinda like last year.

But if Freeman keeps a level head, then he should really make some great strides this year, for the future

You're showing your age Ox.  There is no way this is an option team and FREEMAN IS NOT AN OPTION QB.  Option QB's are quick with breakaway speed (Ell Roberson / Michael Bishop).  Freeman is big with the ability to run, but he's not an option quarterback.

He is however very tough to bring down which will be an excellent asset when he leaves the pocket to scamper for a first down.  Think of him as a slightly larger version of Donovan McNabb in terms of size with possibly better speed.  I can promise you that starting at the end of this year of the beginning of the next pro scouts will be drooling over his size, ability, and NFL potential.

ISU's at home...  Although I agree we do need to win a road game this year... CU appears to be our best chance.

I think we can beat ISU and CU,  I'm not gonna guess for NU, UT, MU, or ku... Nothing would surprise me for those games.  Actually, a loss at CU wouldn't really surprise me either.

ku on the road is about the least scary thing I can imagine.
