I finally looked it up.  On offense, we will have 8 players making their 5th or 6th start in Prince's system surrounding 3 guys making their 1st.  I must have missed something, b/c that doesn't seem that out of wack.  In fact, that seems like a very reasonable and sound ways to impliment some new guys if you're going to do it.

I was beginning to think we were pulling kids up from Riley County, Wamego, and Manhattan High to start this week.

Sorry Rusty, I missed that one.

But the facts are:

Stringer - 6th start
Wafford - 6th start
Bedore - 5th start
Frieson - 6th start
Unruh - 1st start
Norwood - 5th start
Mastrud - 5th start
Figures - 6th start
Nelson - 5th start
Freeman - 1st start
Patton - 1st start

Forgiven.  Defense is pretty much the same way.  I think the "giving up on the season" mantra is somewhat overblown, shockingly.

Yes.  I've said a lot that K-State fans, and most fans in general, are very reactionary.  No doubt this week proves that more than any other.

Sports radio has really caught on.  Again, it's shocking that they would try to be somewhat.......shocking.

More Bold.

More Daring.

Less Shocking.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I don't understand the point of this thread.  The o-line sucks and we don't know how to scheme around it.  I don't think that Wafford only have 5 starts in "Prince's offense" is the problem.  The entire right side of the offensive line, including the center, is a sophomore of younger.  And the two deep for those same positions has one Junior on it.

Everyone is freaking out about Prince "giving up on the season" based on recent depth chart changes.

Do you think more changes should be made, he got the depth chart wrong at the start of the season, or both?

The point of this thread is that it would seem that some think we are throwing out 8 players that haven't taken a snap yet.  Yes, our Oline has struggled, and yes we have lots of younger players on the two deep, but we will be playing a ton of kids that have quite a few snaps this year in this system in a home game.  It might mean little, but the more experience these guys have, the more likely at least some aspects of this new scheme might start to click.  I think its a meaningful topic considering all the other crap that has been out there this week.

I don't feel like we'll win another game, partly because of Prince going with Freeman, partly because of the o-line, partly because of the competition level increasing as the season goes on.  I think the remaining teams are better than us right now, so even if we make progress or improve, I don't think it'll be enough to be reflected in the win column

I do think Prince made a bad decision with AE.  I'm of the opinion that Meier was a more convenient option, not a better one in comparison to AE.  That being said, with the offensive line the way it is, I don't know what depth chart changes would have helped at the begining of the season or even now.  There's a problem up front, but I don't know if anyone on the roster is the solution. But I think there are ways (schematically) to help eleviate some of the pressure the o-line will/has faced, but we don't seem to want to do it.

What that tells me:

The offensive line is pretty good.  There is only one guy that was really letting us down and now we have replaced him.  The biggest performance problems were at QB and RB.

This thread isn't about winning or losing another game this season.
