According to a special teams player, the workouts so far are harder than any of them have ever been.

He said the first five days of practice were called "Ron Prince Workouts" by Snyder and were pretty standard.  Then he showed them Bill Snyder Workouts and supposedly they're just ridiculous.  Said Brandon Banks has been throwing up after almost every practice.

Just sayin'.

Probably throwing up because of the state of this program. It literally makes competitors like Banks sick to their stomachs.

    The very best.
great news. loves these type of posts.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Remember 2005!

is anyone in pastel colored shirts?!

but seriously though, I've heard a lot of Prince workouts were based to increased speed and agility.  In reality they made a team of FPs like Freeman.

has bill talked about whether or not their names will be on the back of the jerseys this year?

Good question. If Snyder's last teams didn't deserve names on jerseys, this bunch sure as hell doesn't.

Sounds a lot like his first time around.  He ran off a *whole* bunch of FPs during his first year.

If you didn't think there would be a major difference between Ron Prince's day at the beach off season conditioning and OB's than you're just dumb.

    The "other" KSU
These guys will definetly know what hard work is. I am pleased to hear that there has been some puking going on. I would be happier with some passing out to be accompanied by a trip or two to the emergency room.

Didn't we have this same thread the last couple years under Snyder then again when Prince took over?

Seriously, how easy were the workouts in the past if they keep getting harder every year?

I know.  With all the increasing level of workouts every year (which usually come after bad seasons) you'd think we'd be the biggest, baddest SOB's this side of Leavenworth Prison.  It's amazing how awesome Jeff Kelly was considering he couldn't have possibly worked out as hard as John Houlik has.

Remember 2005!

I remember articles discussing how hard the offseason was after 4-7.  The players bought in, they were running until they puked, and they were even going to go so far as to have the names taken off of the jerseys because there was no "I in team" or some hooey like that.

The team proceeded to go 5-6 the next season, and that includes a win at Marshall that should have been a loss.

It doesn't matter if they run until they puke if they weren't very good to begin with.  They'll just be a bad football team in better shape.

Who knows...maybe they'll go to a bowl this year?  I just wouldn't put much stock into stuff like this because 'trying harder' doesn't equal wins.  Having talent and adequate coaching equals wins.

We've got adequate coaching.  Talent...TBD.

Brandon Banks being included as those participating with the football team throws this entire report into question

it's part of the getting better every day philosophy.  you have to leave yourself lots of room to improve.

yes.

run them into they turn into talented players.

I'm guessing 20 laps at 5am should do it.

They'll all turn into 5 stars after that.

I remember when Snyder ran the crap out of the team at 5am. We finished with 1 more win than the year previous and no bowls.

Yeah, it builds character and you'll have a fit team that hates their HC but it doesn't mean they will win more.

I agree that this isn't the first time that the "Boy the team is REALLY working out hard this year" rhetoric has been made, but it's what I heard and found it interesting.

At least it might weed out the FPs, TCs etc.
