Dood.... you're flying this time of year?  not good.   Haven't you been paying attention to the news.   Planes have been going down right & left.  Don't do it.  You'll regret not listening to me when your dead.

Might want to fix that before the ESU guy makes an elaborate post correcting you.

Also, _Fan, the Minny airport is prolly the nicest in the world, soak it in.  Don't think about the plane crashing...just assume it won't.  If it gets super turbulent and people next to you start praying or acting strange put your hands in the air like you are on a roller coaster, it gets laughs and takes people's mind off of dying.  Are your packing your clubs or renting?  I would rent.  It's a hassle to travel with the sticks.   :beerchug:

I'm not worried about crashing.

I'm checking the sticks as a bag and doing a carry on and back pack for my stuff.  I've got one of those cover things.

Northwest BTW.

Good airline.  Best part about NW is that you get connections in Minny no matter where you are going.

I know.  :blindfold:

But Pebble Beach golf opps don't come often.

Plus, last time I missed a game b/c of golf we won the CTR game.

You got a hard case or soft?  If you have a soft case, here's my traveling golf club tip of the century....go get a good thick dow rod and cut it to about 2-3 inches longer than your driver (or longest club) and stick that in your golf bag.  Then, when they slam your &@#%ing bag into the plane (they always do this) your dow rod will take the punishment, saving your driver.

Also, the &@#%ing greens break toward the water.

Echoing the sentiments of others.  Minne is a very nice airport.

If you're flying Northwest, and you have a large carry-on item (I usually have a backpack), it's best to sit in the aisle seat.  You probably don't have a say in the matter right now, but if you get to the check-in at the airport, or if you check in online, and you can change your seat, I'd go with the aisle if you've got a big bag you need to push under the seat.  The middle and window seat spaces aren't nearly as big.

Also, be prepared to sit on a runway while they burn gas.  Almost every time I've flown NW, I've had to sit on the runway for twenty minutes because they filled the tank up too much, the plane was overweight, and they had to burn fuel before we took off.  I almost missed a connecting flight in Detroit once because of that.

the place i interned at designed Spyglass.  i'm still pretty jealous though.  i'm holding out for a trip up to Bandon once Old Macdonald is fully operational and my funds are sufficient.

Too bad you're not flying out of Denver.  That'll toughen you up to turbulence.

seriously, wtf.  someone is going to have to sit you down in the offseason like martin did white tiger and force you to make choice.

I knew this would not make you happy.

If it makes it any better, it does at least look like I will be returning to the ranks of season ticket holder (hoops only) next year.

it's a public course

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Another q; can I take one of those mini-suitcase carry on bags and another duffle-type bag or backpack?  From my reading of the regs that seems to be the case, amirte?

[generic advice] Get there 2 hours before your plane departs [/generic advice]

Yeah you should be able to bring 2 bags, 1 in the above compartment and one under your seat.
