he has rescheduled his iu visit for early november.  which i think is basically good news for ksu.  also states that he plans to sign somewhere this fall.

"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."

I didn't like his comments about the KSU visit on that story.  :frown:

"It went okay," said Blair.  "It was kind of out in the middle of nowhere. The football game was okay."

I am just going to write a little story here. It really has nothing to do with anything, and yet it has a little bit to do with everything.

Not too long ago I was hired by a company as a contract worker working from home. The enitre week prior to our first online conference meeting I had been having constant connection problems with my ISP. I was spending 2 hours a day on customer support trying to get it resolved and was a very unhappy camper.

Then came the day of the first online conference, I was already on the edge with all the hold time from my ISP customer support. I get online to my first conference and I guess I was breaking up a bit and the pitch of my voice sounded off. I was being polite under the circumstances and then someone in the conference said, "Are you sure this isn't what you always sound like?" I snapped and said "Screw You!"

All the sudden everyone in the conference suddenly became silent, except for a few "sighs."

I thought to myself, ok, this is worthless so I logged out only to find out later that I had just told the CEO of the company, "Screw You!"

Amazingly enough, I was not fired, and actually have done very well with the company.

Over time, the company employees have began to use "Screw You!" as a term as endearment when disagreeing with each other or just to say I love you too.

So, which is it Blair and Kennedy?

"Screw You!" or "Screw You?"

And he is considering Indiana and Tennessee?  Just wait until he gets to see Bloomington or Knoxville!  He is going to crap!!!  Bloomington is as small as Manhattan, albeit a very pretty city.  Knoxville, on the other hand, looks and smells like a sow’s asshole.  If Blair didn’t like K-State he is going to very disappointed with both of these schools too.  Maybe he ends up staying home at Pitt and dodging bullets for excitement...

Bloomington is about as big as Lawrence I think, IIRC... It has a few more accomodies than manhattan (White Castle, Dicks Sporting Goods, etc..) and if I remember right the campus is really big, or something unique about it. but I could be wrong, never been to knoxville

I've never been to either Bloomington or Knoxville, but I remember when Brent Schaefer was being recruited by KSU for football, he visited Manhattan and said on his blog that he thought both Manhattan and Knoxville might be out in the middle of nowhere and he left Manhattan feeling that was the case.   Then he signed with Tenneseee.  I know this is just one kid's perception but it does present one side...one I don't like.

Manhattan and Knoxville are in the middle of nowhere...Knoxville is just 4 times bigger than Manhattan.

In a way...Manhattan is the same way, it's just a smaller "somewhere".

It's only a negative if you're a crappy recruiter.
