Royal Valley's Jake Roepke was sitting among a stadium full of Missouri Tigers last Saturday when Kansas State coach Ron Prince asked him to give his best Powercat growl.Roepke obliged, of course. After all, that's what players do when they commit to Prince.A 6-foot-7, 300-pound senior, Roepke accepted an offer from K-State last Friday. The following day -- while Roepke was in Columbia, Mo., for the Tigers' game against Colorado -- Prince called to offer congratulations ... and hear the growl.

"Any time you have a 6-7, 300-pound kid with athletic ability, I think you've got to take a chance on him," Royal Valley coach Jason Grider said. "He's got unlimited potential."He's going to have to work on his strength and on the mental aspect of the rigors of D-I. It's a big jump for anybody, and he's going to have to bear down and go to work. He's a very likeable kid, and from week two of the season, he's improved leaps and bounds. He's still getting better."
If I was a 5-star linebacker from Flordia and was asked to do this, I might decommit.Be careful Prince.
