not sure about that, lucas is very guarded about what he lets slip to the media. i would say uk leads if anyone, but that is just a guess. and i hadn't even heard ku mentioned with him till today. if he is still listening to new schools...

Yeah, somehow I don't think it's gotten to Reed, though. If he isn't careful, KSU, OU, and Stanford could fill their scholarships in the fall, and all of a sudden playing for Mark Turgeon looks real attractive.

i don't think it will get that bad if he waits. usually top 100 players that wait are in higher demand in the spring than they were in the fall. there are always more top programs that lose a guy pro or transfer or whatever and have an opening than there are quality hs recruits still around in the spring.

they may not be the schools that kid was hoping for, but top programs.

Reed just plain doesn't want to go to K-State. He must hate the place having grown up a ku fan. He would evidently rather pay his own way and walk on at ku or UNC rather than take a scholarship and play for Huggins. Get over it. We can't lose what we never had...

Yeah, I guess I didn't realize how highly rated he is (#62 RSCI). That's higher than Giles, Galindo, and Jackson were...Do you think Self offers the minute someone declares for the draft? (I really think anyone other than Wright (maybe) has much of a future at the next level, but that doesn't mean they won't try to jump)

Maybe a lot of coaches question his ability to impact at the next level, independant of how many stars the kid has.

Huggy's offered him. UNC & ku haven't.
Kid grew up a ku fan.
Wore a former ku player's jersey on his recruiting visit to Manhattan.

He's waiting on Roy and Self.

at this point it is only conjecture to state he is waiting on self/williams. he has not committed elsewhere, but that does not equal waiting on self/williams. he still is likely to visit wake forest before deciding among the schools who are known to be chasing him (wake, stanford, ou, mu, ksu). if he doesn't come up with a decision fairly soon after seeing wake forest, then i would say that is a fair indication that he has decided to wait until spring and see what offers are available to him then. i don't think it is fair to assume that right now.

Come on dude. Playing for the Turg is always attractive to top recruits. All WSU basketball players get all-you-can-eat Spangles gift cards. Who could turn that down??
