I remember when my beloved golden retriever got so old that she couldn't hold the poop in her butt and it just sorta fell on our carpet.  She also walked into our sliding glass door because she thought it was open.

Is this the depression support group. Maybe some of you should give it a full year and another recruiting class before you commit suicide. Another way of looking at this is the fact that many of these coaches and former players were part of the winning traditon at KSU and not the last few years of losing. They might actually have some loyalty as well.

Good thing Mangino doesn't hold grudges.  I'm sure he'll go easy on you guys this fall.  He has a ton of respect for Bill Snyder and the K-State football program in general.

No running up the score at all.

But don't you see? He's doing things different this time. He has like 2 brand new coaches!

Seriously though, I refuse to meltdown til we lose to ku (or if we finally fall to a div 2 team, which won't happen).

You're right MJ....that staff we really should be bitching about are the ones that were at KSU from '02-05 who basically rotted the program from the inside out with their terrible recruiting.  THAT staff really sucked, thank god Snyder got different guys this time around.

I really wanted to believe that Snyder would come in with some people capable of being successful, but so far I have to say this is an enormous failure on all levels.

I hate our sideshow administration, our huckleberry fan base and our moronic faith in one man to make magic twice.  It will be awful watching our doe eyed fan base of true believers turn in to the cynical, sniping atheists that populate this board.  Lots and lots of denial.  All those tards who lack  :kstatriot: ism and question the  :kstatriot: ism of the realists can suck it.  I'm not rejoicing in the crapitude, I'm just using any means necessary to put off dealing with what is coming.  It is a tactic people use in the grieving process.  You deal your way, we'll deal ours.

Here is why I will give this staff the benefit of the doubt.

1.  I am a  :kstatriot:

2.  How can you place all the blame on a coaching staff for recruiting when the head coach recruits like it was still 1990??   Come on, OB didn't even let the staff go recruit between the CCG and the Bowl Game in 2003.

3.  OB has apparently learned his lesson, because K-State is already out there offering guys.

4.   Del Miller was in the process of losing his son during that period to Cancer and apparently is back in the spirit of the task at hand.

5.  Meltdowns are so much more fun with actual facts backing the reality of the meltdown.

So pinning our hopes that having Koenning and Dickey will be the difference between crapitude of 04-05 and greatness is the right thing to do?   :powertard:

    The very best.
Quote
My co-workers good friend is ludwig's wife. She said that once he got there and the family had a chance to look around they couldn't get out fast enough. They were coming from Salt Lake where there were so many things to do, and Ludwig felt he was screwing over his family to move them to Craphattan. Nothing to do with Snyder or the roster - but the location didn't work for them. Ala Price with us perhaps?
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
