    The very best.
Scuba steve needs to post more. Much more.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Thanks Fatty, I love you too, but not in this  :jerkoff: kind of way.  Seems like I'm getting a lot of this  :jerkoff: kind of response from people.  It's making me a little uncomfortable.

Sorry Dax, you're definitely not my type.  I like a woman that speaks only when spoken to.

I'll address this here:

I called Mr. Clayton and Mr. Spexarth, among other parents, because it's becoming clear things are happening. I wanted to see if there was anything else besides performance at play here, and all of the parents said no. We talked, on and off the record for a while, and that was it. I did not call them looking for a specific comment about their kids being benched. But when I went to write the story, I had extra quotes so I used them. I thought they were harmless.

You never had a chance with that story as your wit and charm are lost on Deb...for obvious reasons

So Jeff, you're saying that Clayton and Spex are suspended because they aren't performing?

Oh and thanks for clarifying that Clayton was carrying his Geology book.  I was scared for a while he might be taking Microbiology or something.  Whew!!

I read all of it and I was shocked.

And then I read it again and thought there's really nothing there.  Deb Patterson is a bitch.  Big deal.  Voepel filled two full pages in the KC Star with nothing but that?  How is that a bang-up job?  Am I missing something?

I never mentioned anything about people being suspended. And the geology book was a nice touch, I thought. Glad you were relieved, though. Good for you for caring.

Trust me, I felt the same way. But you know what? It was published, it's sort of a big deal, and good for her for having the courage - if you want to call it that - for putting it out there.

The geology book reference made me laugh.  It's a shame Marcus Watts wasn't picking his nose or something.  That would have been even better.  :)

You're right.  That had to be hard for her to write because it will make her job at KSU more difficult.  Maybe it was just published too soon.  It felt like it was missing the knockout punch.

Oh, come on Jeff.  I only kid because I care.

And I appreciate it. You know your stuff - I agree with everyone else. You should post here more often. You actually make me think when I'm here - no offense, Fatty. :)

There's only one reporter that could have wrote that story, and she wrote it. None of it --except for maybe Wecker putting it all on the table-- should have been surprising. Mechelle did a nice job, but my question would be: Why wasn't any of this written the last two-three-four years when it was going on? I'm guessing it wasn't because of lack of access.

By the way, the geology book detail made the story. Of course, that's just me.

Oh, was that you Levi?  I can just see you hanging outside of Vanier.

"Hey Thomas!  What ya readin'?  Oh, Geology.  Rocks and stuff, huh?  Yuck.  See you dude."

Thomas enters the building.

Levi thinks to himself, "Wait, shouldn't he be in practice?"

Pretty much nailed it.

Join me sometime, Scuba. We're thinking about ordering pizza and chipping in for a 12-pack next Tuesday while we wait.

Diet Coke I hope.  You know it's illegal to drink alcohol at Bill Snyder Family stadium.... unless it's in a cup, of course.

Coke Zero.

Dax, I'd be lying if I said that joke wasn't passed around --not by me, of course-- when he was out of earshot. He seemed to have a good grasp on everything, though. Gave us all a nod as he passed by.

Didn't you know?  Those sections are not Bill Snyder Family Stadium.  That airspace is owned by "It's OK to Drink, LLC".
