Mostly fair.

I did think the comment at the end about Nebraska was a little much.  Will we turn around and run them out of the 'Gon like they did to us in 'Vaney?  Probably not, but I'll be surprised if this Katz team loses that game.  I'd say we probably take the Huskers by 8-12.

Nebraska will beat us if we keep pouting like this. Ever since the ku loss our team lost a step or two.

If it was anyone but Iowa State we would have lost last Saturday. They are just plain awful.

Darren Kent (the winning streak version)...please come back.

How do you come up with this?  ISU isn't great, but they are playing better than at least 3 other teams in the league and have an NBA player on their roster.  Perhaps if we play like that NU beats us at home, but I doubt it.  If we defend NU like we did in Ames we will win comfortably.

And Kent played great defense in the 2nd half of that game.  Agree we need more offense from him, but he didn't completely disappear.

More important to get untracked Saturday are Fred Brown and Jake Pullen.

Skewer?  Reading any writers recap couldn't be as bad as watching that crap game live. It was horrific.

I still can't believe how our bigs just fumble the ball on rebounds, passes, etc.

I do wonder where our heads will be at.  The same team that won 6 in a row, lost 4 in a row.

Let's all forget about how badly we killed MU earlier.  That game didn't count because it was earlier and this was last night.

Mizzou Arena wasn’t sold out or particularly hostile.

I thought it was a sell out...?

I mostly disagree with the article but somebody was going to write it. It was just too easy for lazy journalist, such as this particular author, to pass up or put any real thought in to. I am, of course, not surprised by this.

K-State did not lack intensity and emotion when they took the court. They did not look a step slower early on like I saw them look during the four game conference losing streak. But we didn't knock down the open three's like we've grown accustomed to. No big men stepped up offensively, which has been a key to the successes throughout conference play.

Was it a sloppy game for the most part? Yes. But both teams looked sloppy... Missouri almost always looks sloppy. Doesn't matter though, because they win.

Yes, things got out of hand quickly at the end of the first half. But the Cats returned and at the very least provided and abundance of effort. In this case though, the #8 team in the nation was able to hold off the charge on their home court. Should this surprise anybody or really make a statement about the Catz? Not as far as I'm concerned.

Since the Colorado OT win in Boulder, I have not for a second seen a team that lacks competitiveness or motivation. I have seen a team that is occasionally outmatched. Go figure.

Whitlock doesn't provide any insight in to anything, primarily because he's a lazy poor journalist. But he's tasked with writing a story weather he has an interesting slant or not.
