How about when he brought up every Big XII team's impressive non-con wins?

That just showed me one thing. He truly is in this for Kansas State and the entire conference....

What a great guy. :kstatriot:

Yeah, that's the positive spin thought from it.

The negative spin thought from it is this: Frank gets sick of battling the Big 12 perception and he and 'Te bolt for whatever Big East or ACC program is willing to pay them.   :ohno:

big east, i think.  i think martin being a miami guy gets too much play.  he appears to have about equally strong recruiting ties to the ny metro and to the new england preps.  plus there's always been that miami-nyc cultural connection.

he'd be a great fit for some of the northeastern schools.

He also started college coaching @ Northeastern.  He'll probably go to St. John's.  Maybe.

All I know is I DREAD him leaving, because I'm not convinced anyone associated w/ KSU learned anything from the Huggs/Frank/Dalonte setup.  That, and everyone here is a moron.

I'm going to hate our next SLTH.  :frown:

Without looking, I'm going to guess it has everything to do with recruiting.

my fav part of interview-
reporter:  "did you memorize those wins/loses/stats or read them"
frank:  " :blahblah: until reporter forgot that he asked frank a question"

He's absolutely right about the Big 12's reputation. The Big East/ACC are benefiting from the east coast bias that the SEC benefited from during football season, and Frank touched on that point extremely well. If Kansas lost to Nebraska, it would be because the Big 12 sucks according to Bristol. Pitt loses to a crappy Georgetown team, and it's some sort of testament to the league's toughness. It's no different than UF or Bama losing to an Arkansas or South Carolina in football. It's f*cking sickening.

The Big East and ACC are stronger than the B12.  :dunno:

This may be true, but the bias still exists. What's more ridiculous is that a bunch of bracketologists are predicting that the Big Ten will get seven bids. Seven?! I'd put KSU, NU and OSU against Wisconsin, Minnesota and Ohio State any day. Hell, I'd put them up against Illinois.

Upper midwest (Big 10) is still in relatively heavily populated areas closer to east coast media markets than the Big 12. The Big 10 also has this inexplicable reputation that they're still relevant in both major sports. They're being projected to have seven teams because they're the Big 10, not because those teams are actually any good.

The Big 10 "bubble teams" did great in the OOC (except maybe Wisky).   The bubble teams in the Big 12 did not.
