Griffin is not Jordan.  Sorry
No.  He's just the best player in the Big 12...by far.  Totally made no difference at all whatsoever.  Good call, Cochese.

I guess we'll never know.

As ku fans, we'll celebrate the win as reality dictates that we should.

As Ksu fans, I suppose you can write 'What if' on a small piece of paper, snuggle with it before you go to sleep, and place it under your pillow tonight.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

He is probably the best player in the country.  So in this context he is Jordan.  You have to be pretty lame to not admit that beating OU minus him isn't that big of a deal.  They're pretty ordinary without him.

That said I will still give ku credit if they win the big 12.  This win in OU is tainted but I don't think you can win a conference title over 16 games and say it is tainted.  There are no flukes over that many games.  Kind of crazy ku will finish with a better conference record then they had last season.  Shows how weak the league is this year because this ku team isn't even close to last year's ku team.

but I hate this uk team more than any other.

Their come-from-behind mental toughness/luck (no griffin/racist denis chanting/nu/cu squeakers) is sickening.

Also sickening?  Their thug, p.o.s. b-ball program.  It starts with their no compliance ad and goes down the line from coach to parent-coaches to the morris tards.  The fact that their fan base pretends they still have a bunch of aww shucks roy's boys is maybe even more disgusting than the original myth.  While it was disgusting when heinrich or boschee were some of the dirtiest/chippiest players and constantly getting praised for being white and iowany I think this is even worse.

As I go to sleep tonight with a grin on my face as we took down OU, I would just like to clarify the statement above......Jeff Boschee was from North Dakota not Iowa.....

Man, what a win tonight......once again, the so called Darth Vaders are in the drivers seat for their 9th conference title in 13 YEARS....

Sleep good in Manhattan tonight kids.

Why do so many ku fans think that all K-State fans live in Manhattan? Do all ku fans live in Lawrence?

Bragging about beating OU w/out B. Griff is like bragging about beating the Bulls w/out Jordan. GMAFB!

That and ignoring Aldrich's two 1st half fouls. Those fouls will be called in the NCAA.

Thug ball? I prefer to call it "hit you in the face" ball. Or like Morningstar did, "give his man a sucker punch to the gut while sliding in for a blocking foul" ball. To save you the time, yes all us uk low-rents fans know that it is a win with an asterisk next to it. Yes OU would have won if Griffin played, and they should have won playing in front of their own crowd. But on a neutral floor, it will be anyone's game. I'm sorry that you guys suffer from penis envy.

Why do you folks think that the tall grass of the Flint Hills is so awesome?  I'm from the SE region of Kansas on the edge of the Flint Hills, and I sure as hell am not impressed.  It is nothing but boring.  The hilly region of NE Kansas with the University of Kansas towering above the Kaw is much more impressive than anything around Eureka, Ks.  And I've been to Manhattan.  It is just like Emporia, there's nothing there.

this explains most of the questions that I've ever asked myself about Lawrence and ku students in general.

true, and very funny.  also very funny is how ridiculously pleased ou fans appear to be with losing to ut and ku.  they're almost giddy with moral victitude.  for fans of a top 10 team, it's really weird.

i almost suspect they were scared of losing those games at full strength, and are relieved to have had an out.

you should post that on ouhoops.  exactly what they want to hear.

maybe also say a few words about how you know they'd have won if they'd had bgriff, and how the thought of ou @ full strength in the tourney is keeping you up nights.
