Sounds like he should of stayed.

-- Kansas State quarterback Josh Freeman was thought to be someone who could really improve his draft projection based on his throwing session, but he was erratic in the drills and probably did nothing to help himself crack the first round.

Great news. Hey Josh, you just aren't very good.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

I want to   but at the same time I feel kinda bad for the kid. Prince kinda ruined what could have been a rather lucrative future for him.

Yeah, being a second round draft pick is really going to ruin Freem's life.  If only he could be more like Sparkles.

Oh, it's not like his life will suck or anything. But he could have been a top 10 pick, NFL scouts were practically spewing in their pants at the thought of him. Prince kinda screwed all that up, IMO.

Well hopefully "don banks" was at the combine instead of watching it because there was only 2 throws that freeman made on TV...one was low on an out and the other was amazing. Also, if he's going off of what "scouts" are saying...do you think they are giving the media a glorifying report???No...they want their team to draft him.

BUT

You don't watch the QB's for accuracy as much because they are throwing to new receivers which is why most qb's get bad "reports" driven by fans/reporters. You look for footwork, quick release, throwing mechanics and arm strength. Apparently he's wowed the teams in interviews and workouts...he helped himself tremendously. Oh...John Gruden was slobbering over him on NFL network during events....and hinted that Stafford might not be the #1 QB candidate out there.

AND to all my  :kstatriot:  stop fing hating on the dude. HE'S KSTATE. You might not of liked him, likely because of jealousy or he stole your GF, but stop trashing him. He represents the school and will always be K-State. Look at the team and coach he had to work with....

Prince is like the antithesis of Midas... where everything he touched turned to $h!t. I blame the Athletic Dept from Weefer down on buying into his "Working-man's hero line of BS" that he sold on everyone. What a bunch of naive a$$hats.

Some are projecting him as a 2nd day pick now.  Things are not going well at the combine.

That you Josh?
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

No...Im just tired of "  :kstatriot: " hating on the guy. He's representing our school and our fans should hope he does well. It's pretty classless to bag on the guy.

I guess it depends on who you ask. Sounds like that cnnsi guy was exaggerating or didn't actually attend it. The NFL Network guys that were in attendance said Sanchez didn't do anything to hurt his status and Gruden loves Freeman. McShay also said Sanchez did fine.

I don't hate any single player or their decision. It wasn't their fault Prince turned out to be a clueless asshat. They are just making the best of it now. Freeman will be an early second round pick at worst in a weak draft class. He knew Snyder was going to change the offense and that next year will be a much more competitive QB class. The decision to leave is justified imo. I only blame Prince, Weiser and Wefald for the current state of our program.
Show me defense.

So basically when Freeman actually had to show up and perform on something other than being 6-6 and a really hot bod he underwhelmed.

No news here.

Josh is just lukewarm.  Don't hate him and don't love him.  He won't stand out in my mind when I think back to great K-State QB's.  If anything, he will be a disappointment in my eyes even more if he were to go on to have some great NFL career.  Just because his time in Manhattan was anything, but memorable or productive.

JF: Oh yeah. That's one thing I told Coach Snyder. I told him I still wanted to be a part of the program and be able to come back and be around my teammates and stuff like that. He said, 'You know, you're always going to be a part of the Kansas State family.' Definitely, I plan on coming back and catching a game.

I won't miss Freeman at all.  When people say Freeman was our offense, our players should take that as a slap in the face.

I was maybe being too subtle -- I was quoting Freeman's comments from last year about Jordy.  (Part of the large body of evidence that Freeman is a massive d-bag.)

Don't think any of his S&C work at the combine was anything less than very good.  Guess he didn't look great on some throws, but I would chalk that up to a poor QB coach failing to instill good fundamentals.
