Kansas center Cole Aldrich had an interesting take on the Jayhawks' last few weeks.

"You know," Aldrich said, "we've had what they call in the NBA a 'West Coast swing,' where we're gone for a week and a half."

When Aldrich said that, Kansas guard Sherron Collins couldn't contain his laughter at the big guy.

"Thanks, dude," Aldrich said.

ku coach Bill Self was told of Aldrich's comparison. Self put his head in his hands.

"Well," Self said, "Manhattan is west of here. Now you guys know what I deal with on a daily basis."

Then one day, the kid had enough and brought a gun to school, shooting the bully between the eyes and splattering the red/blue brains all over the playground ball court. When the neighbors were later interviewed, that all agreed that it wasn't like the kid, as he was quiet and respectfull. You just never know, do you?
