Ah, to be home

Kansas center Cole Aldrich had an interesting take on the Jayhawks' last few weeks.

"You know," Aldrich said, "we've had what they call in the NBA a 'West Coast swing,' where we're gone for a week and a half."

When Aldrich said that, Kansas guard Sherron Collins couldn't contain his laughter at the big guy.

"Thanks, dude," Aldrich said.

ku coach Bill Self was told of Aldrich's comparison. Self put his head in his hands.

"Well," Self said, "Manhattan is west of here. Now you guys know what I deal with on a daily basis."

    The very best.
As sys says, dude is already counting his money. He always seems to mention manhattan by name. you can tell he wanted to come to KSU.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

kstate is the kid on the playground that no one talked to or picked to be on their team...i really can't imagine being at a school where losing is so accepted...it is almost like when you guys play a team that is actually good, like ku, that the goal is not to win the game, but to be the guy to come up with the first excuse for losing...you guys can all credit Fitz with the excuse for the game last weekend

Actually, K-State is the kid on the playground that no one talked to or picked to be on their team. He was constantly picked on by the bully from down the road. Then one day, the kid had enough and brought a gun to school, shooting the bully between the eyes and splattering the red/blue brains all over the playground ball court. When the neighbors were later interviewed, that all agreed that it wasn't like the kid, as he was quiet and respectfull. You just never know, do you?

don't back down, you were right.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."
