Still my favorite. And it's still bagged in my closet. A-1 condition.

Minolta had some very good 35mm SLR's at a reasonable price and decent glass.  Just wasn't 'pro' quality.  Their manual focus lenses would fit on any Minolta SLR until the SLR's went auto focus.

I seriously considered Minolta for digital, but since I'd have to buy new lenses anyway, I went to Nikon.  Not any slam on Canon, just felt more at home with Nikon.

I, like Del, would have been content to slap a 35mm digital back on my Minolta's.  The Nikon D700 that I now have is that concept.

I love the smell of peat in the evening.  That smell, you know that earthy smell...  Smells like...whisky !

don't listen to all of these Canon and Nikon n00bs.  LMAO they're all so fracking stupid it's not even funny, not a bit.  they're all newbs stevedave, all of them.  why do you want to take any advice from a camera n02b?  listen up man, you know I'm a big time industry veteran.. one who knows his stuff.  take my advice, or, buy the worst camera ever made, kthxbye?  camera afficiandos around the world are flocking to the Leica M8, mate.  check into it because it's definately not endorsed by any of these scrub n00bz.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

One of the things Ken Rockwell says is to shot film and have it scan to digital.

The Leica M8 is not cheap at all...  The Leica M8.2 is $6k without a lens.

Leica makes good stuff, but you do pay for it !
