Wrong.  Have you seen ku's new facility?  It looks pretty sweet on the outside, and I'm sure it's even better on the inside.  Go ahead, tell him/me why he's wrong.

LINK

I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

"Because Bill Snyder is back!" being a suddenly acceptable answer to any questions or concerns about our football program's future.

Thing thing I'll probably hate the most, is the national media once again blasting away at us for having a soft OOC schedule, or at Snyder because he keeps everything so secret, and how we don't really belong in the BCS title game picture because of it (even if we go undefeated).

They gave it a rest the past few years because we went back to mediocrity (where we belong in their eyes).

they only blast teams w/ weak OOC if they are good (we suck)

Posts like this also fit the description of what I hate now that Snyder is back (the post itself, not its contents).

Bill Snyder is a good coach, great coach.  One thing you have to remember though is when he went on his run with KSU both ku and MU never really put an emphasis towards their football programs.  ku now has in the top half of athletic budgets in the Big 12 and growing to go along with a new football complex who many outsiders have said is one of the best football complex's in the country, better than many elite programs.  MU is putting more of an emphasis into their football program too.  This will hurt KSU more than you think.  KSU now has to recruit against NU,MU and ku and will not have as much success as they had in the 90's.  And dont forget about Colorado, playing for them is more appealing than playing for KSU.
Is ku's indoor complex even a football only complex?

3.The fact that no matter how much you want to love that he is back, you know that you really dread it. You adore the guy for what he brought to this program, but you hate the fact that the only reason he is here is that we cant get a younger coach who is full of piss and vinegar. Anyone who thinks the hiring of Bill Snyder isnt anything more than a band-aid for this glaring problem is a GD idiot who is out of touch with reality.

Ron Prince was a band-aid for the idiots who pushed Snyder out before he was ready over a couple down years that most programs go through after winning a Championship and losing a sh1t ton of contributors. Because of that, Snyder wasn't given time to put in a succession plan. That's what really franked this program up. Think about it, we bumped Snyder for Rawn franking Prinse. The thing I blame Snyder for is not having the stones to fire some of his sh1tty leftover assistants which he may or may not had come around to doing. His retirement should have gone down between now and 2011 with a groomed successor ready to take over. Instead, Snyder now has to come in and back track and do it the right way, setting the program back 6+ years.
Show me defense.

I hate that there is no way he can repeat the past as much as he may want to.

It's just not the same Cinderella story when you hire an entire staff of coaches who have either been coordinators or head coaches at Division I schools to come coach games in a stadium that is already named after you.

He just can't replicate the environment that allowed him to hire obese high school coaches from Pennsylvania and grad asst's from Iowa to coach at a generically named stadium with an upper deck constructed out of sheet metal and a plywood press box.
Is your life so sad that KSU football isn't enough?

That's not a myth, it's a fact.  There were only two good teams in the Big 8, with any sort of sustained history.  OU and Nebraska.  No one else in the Big 8 really truly cared about football because they knew they couldn't keep up.  Colorado was the only school in the late 80's and early 90's that was really worth anything year in and year out.

Little known fact is that we quit caring about football from 2004-2009.

Ummm  . . . the Big 8 ended in 1995, that was Year 6 of the Snyder era.

MU opened the Devine Pavilion for Football in 1998, and did $12 million dollars in stadium renovations in 1996 and built a new pressbox with suites a couple of years late,  in 1998 ku did a major football stadium renovation.

To say they didn't "pay attention" to football is a pure myth.

But it is true that K-State paid little attention to football during major parts of the 1900's . . . this is not myth.   :peek:

What I really hate the most about it is listening the most posters on this board pi$$ and moan about it.  I just hope the pi$$ers and moaners do not cost Terry an opportunity to make this board a really informative and profitable venture.

Terry took over this site after seeing how much we piss and moan.  Thats what endears people to this site.

I pretty much hate the Snyder hiring for the same reasons of it meaning we can't get a could young coach.  I also hate it, because I have no choice but to start dreaming that Snyder will actually get it fixed.  Whats a ksu fan to do?

If I were a K-State fan . . .

The fact that Bill Snyder so obviously managed to wiggle off the hook in 2005 with his reputation precariously but rightfully intact . . .

and has now voluntarily come back to get it completely destroyed when he should be sipping margaritas on a beach in south Florida.

That I'll have to hear thousands upon thousands of excuses as to why the old man's team is failing and its not his fault.
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

This place is as delusional as gpc is.

Massive cognitive dissonance.

Plenty of tards that post here actually defended the Snyder hire. They'll do the same in the future when he's losing left and right.
