about the condition of the football team? I was one of the minority that thought Ron had things improving even though there were some obstacles but i was elated to see Snyder  come back from unemployment.

However, now I am experiencing misgivings...it's not about the recruiting class (most understand that Snyder's talent is taking lightly recruited players and shaping them into NFL standouts) but its the coaching staff. I am discouraged about having Dave Brock leave and now it seems that Del Miller has chose to move on as well.   Individuals made statements about Prince's issue with not retaining assistants (even though they were progressing to more prominent jobs) however now Snyder has lost two high profile assistants on the offensive side of the ball in less than a month. Is Snyder too difficult to work for? Is it true that he has dementia and persisted in calling Coach Brock "Lou"? I am uncertain what to expect now considering it appears KSU hired a split end coach to coach tail backs and we are recruiting a quarterback who has been coached by a defensive player his whole life. Opinions? Anyone else disturbed?

I guess I'm just a bit apprehensive after witnessing ku last evening...if ku comes in to the Octagon of Doom with a chip on their shoulder, they are apt to start out 18-0 once more and start a duplicate winning streak.

I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

I sincerely doubt Coach Snyder has dimentia or however you spell it.  He's 68 or 69 and usually that doesn't set in until late 70s.  I don't know enough about Brock leaving to speculate on it, but I do know he has ties to BC so it doesn't come as too big of a shock.  We have Utah's Oline coach and O coordinator and despite what Utah fans say, after watching the sugar bowl I couldn't be happier.  Heck, Dimel basically took a step down the coaching ladder to come back to K-State where all the good positions are filled.  Joe Bob basically said that K-State is the place to be for football by blowing off ku.  Call me naive but as long as Vic Koenning and Andy Ludwig are here, along with the other guys, I think we have a fantastic staff and I'm not worried.  Hope I cheered you up.   :kstatriot:

In my opinion, this is the type of brutal, thoughtful honesty this board needs. Bravo dprocket, Bravo!

It sounds to me like your an avid Katz fan that has been burned one too many times. Fortunately, (and potentially unbeknownst to you) you are not alone. From your signature, it appears you are a spiritual, dare I say religious individual. So you realize that all things happen for a reason. You have found this board for a reason:pray:

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

So, somehow, because you logged onto a message board, and read a quote that another guy wrote about Wefald, Wefald is "in your face?"  I'll go along with that.  I wish Hemmingway would get off my nuts.
