    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

OMG.  Pretty smart how they use the same concessions/restroom complex for the new track, softball, and soccer complexes.  Just noticed that.  What will these ku architects think of next?!?!

Wait I have seen this before........

Looks exactly like our sports complex minus piss stained Allen fieldhouse, and Americas largest indoor football practice facility (ours by the way). And that is an Olympic village. Hate to be the one to tell you but softball and baseball are not part of the Olympics any more.

Every two bit sports complex in North American has been doing this for 25 years. Welcome to real time.

Did you even read the article? This whole thing is a pipe dream. This is just a master plan. K-State has had one of these for years and has been acting on it as seen at the track and field complex, at The Bill, at Tointon Family Stadium and the soon to be expansion to The Bram. Nothing is going to happen with this for another ten years.

boo boo lew will twist this to make it seem like they're the first juco in the country to have a separate track/football field area.

Also I guess this means KSU has hosted the Olympics many times?

almost a guarantee that after the first year of use, they will start saying crap like, "...and while you're on the ku campus, visit historic Hemenway Olympic Village!" or something of that nature
"Unless you're a ku fan you don't want to watch a game at the fieldhouse. You'll never see more home cooking in your life. The last game I watched there Larry got the boot and I didn't blame him a bit. Only ball game I've ever walked out on in my life, besides, the facility is a piece of ****."

LOL.  I couldn't give a flip about the facility itself.

What's hilarious is that in the midst of this massive economic recession ku just finished a $31 million football complex, is seven months away from finishing a $38 million athletics complex expansion at Allen Fieldhouse, and is already raising money for a $24+ million "Olympic village".  That's $95 million total in athletic complexes either finished, nearly finished, or in the initial stages in the last 16 months.

All at a time in which K-State's athletic administration is on the blink of administrative ruin.

L-O-F-L.

Do you guys even bother to read the related articles . . . they're no where close to moving dirt on this.

I could go back 10 years at K-State and find plans to expand BSFS to 60,000 seats, put 40 new suites in the stadium, expand the Legends Room to triple its current size etc. etc. etc. etc.

But I am glad you guys keep coming to me to get validated.

Hey it's good to see that ku might get something that K-State has had since 1973:

By the time K-State finally breaks ground on their basketball facilities, ku will have alredy completed a football complex, upgrades to the basketball facilities, upgrades to Allen Fieldhouse, and an Olympic sports village.  They might as well just throw in the white flag at K-State and go D-2.

ku's Anderson Family Strength Center (built in '02) has a better weight room than K-State's, and it's not even our newest football complex.  LMAO.

Now compare it to this dump:

So the Olympic Village at ku is going to be finished in September??

But again, it's good to see ku is finally getting a facility that K-State has had for 26 years.   Maybe some day Mark Magino will have his own 94,000 square foot football indoor practice facility to practice in . . . and he won't have to try and duck around the dying trees at ku's stupidly designed outdoor practice fields, or cart the team across campus and kick the soccer team out of puny little, low roof Anschutz.

Anschutz-55,000 square feet (multiple tenants, portable old technology field)

K-State Football Indoor Facility-98,000 square feet, State of the Art FieldTurf Field (football only)
