pointless only if you wait outside of the parking lot for hours before they allow the line up.

Won't work.  Never not a good Idea to be full of  :ksu:.  Waiting inline, partying is half the pregame fun!  Plus you get to high five Googie Colon and Hotbod Kent!
"When Beasley dunked in the second half to make it a 12-point game, that was the loudest moment I’ve ever experienced at a college hoops game - Allen Fieldhouse included.”

seems like a pretty good idea considering what a crapshow the last ku game was.  some people got hurt and what not so they had to change somethin.

i had waited in line forever last year and there was one point in the day where someone was hanging that chicken guy and everyone got up and ran towards the entrance and put me back a few spots after that.

Looks like they got someone who was involved with the old campout for tix (raise the flag at Ahearn deal) and applied those to this game.  Man, those campouts back in the day, even when we started going south, were fun.  Remember getting donuts from Asbury one morning.

    The very best.
standing in line sucks ass. it's not even close to being fun.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Exactly...I was literally fifth in line at the beginning of the day...ended up in the 10th row.  Those damn Greek houses saving spots was beyond ridiculous...the FOUR people in front of me turned into FOUR HUNDRED by the end of the day.

We had better seats on the sprint in but lost them due to some of our group falling behind, and we all wanted to sit together.

I remember looking back after the sprint and seeing bodies strewn about in the dark parking lot. Reminded me of storming Normandy or something. Some g00ber sprinting next to me ran his face smack into the row number signs. I still hear that terrible sound in my nightmares.

Waiting in line last year was amazing for me for one simple reason (despite freezing temperatures)...

For anybody who was there early, the coaches came outside and handed out doughnuts (or maybe pizza- hard to remember). Either way, my group was lucky enough to get our batch from Frank Martin. As he came up we shot the s*** with him for a bit. Basically told him we had confidence in them and that they were gonna make all the waiting worthwhile. That's when Martin said something along these lines- "Ya well I'd feel better if Arthur just didn't show. Why don't one of you just take out his knees before he gets in?" I think one of my buddies said he would and Frank just laughed and said his lips were sealed. It was all in fun....kinda! Still, my good friend got it all on video. Classic stuff. I love our coach.

Looking over those rules...that's the most &@#%ed up thing I've ever heard of for a basketball game. Given the number of people in line in past games, there is no way this works. How do they think they're gong to do "roll calls" with any kind of accuracy? Hope this is a miserable failure and they go back to letting people camp out like normal Universities. I don't remember seeing line moniters taking roll during Duke-UNC games. They even get to have tents!

I remember his tan face peeking in my tent.  My morning wood a full attention.  He said something like "wow nice tent"
