The Red Raiders are 12-11 (2-6) with no good wins and losses to Pittsburgh in Newark, New Jersey, at Lamar, at UTEP, at Stanford and to tcu. The Red Raiders return 4 starters off of a team that went 16-15 (7-9) in 2007-08.

The Red Raiders are lead by G's John Roberson and Alan Voskuil and F Mike Singletary. Roberson averages 15 points/game (leads the team), 4 rebounds/game and 6 assists/game (leads the team). He's a consistently good 3 point shooter (shooting 39% this season) but is turnover prone. Voskuil averages 14 points/game, 4 rebounds/game and 2 assists/game. He lead the team in 3 point shooting last season, is a decent defender and is the team's best free throw shooter. Singletary averages 10 points/game, 5 rebounds/game (Co leads the team with F D'Walyn Roberts) and 2 assists/game. He was the team's biggest surprise last season. He shot 49% from the field and 76% from the line as a freshman and has a significant offensive upside.

This is a team that has disappointed this season. They were supposed to win 19-20 games, go somewhere between 8-8 or 9-7 in Big XII play and be on the bubble on Selection Sunday. However, they're 0-7 on the road and 0-3 in games decided by 6 points or less. The Cats roll in this one at home.

We lose. . .catsfan19951996 usually has good things to say about teams and a reason how they could be a challenge.  If he's this confident.  Then we will lose.  Bet against the Cats, take your money and get drunk and forget about the game.

If you noticed during my "Look at Texas A&M" I never provided a prediction. I was worried about that one and look how it turned out. This one I'm not worried about at all.

Well even when we were playing the likes of FAMU, you would say things like, "This team is scary, because they return all players from a team that went 13-18 last year."  If we can push the tempo, I think we win this one, but if we can't push it or force them to run, we could be in for a long day."  Then we go out and win by like 30.  Now you're all. . .oh yeah we should have no problem with a Conference game. . .against a team who scored like 160 points one game this season.

Tech will be our toughest foe during the stretch imho just because of how they have been playing. They are scoring points and their defense has improved. If they were slumping I'd say we'd have no trouble. With each win we put in the "streak" it just makes the bullseye on our backs that much bigger.

We didn't pull away from craptastic Iowa State until 7 minutes or so left in the game...and they are beyond sucky. Yeah, I know that was our hangover game...but we just landed an upset in Collie State too.

:ohno: I might be w/ rundown on this one here boys.

0506- Listen, this is no time to let your guard down. If anything you should be turning the heat up here. This was not the hard hitting analytical stuff that I have come to expect from you and quite frankly this appears to be more of a fluff piece written strictly for fans of the home team. I hope this is not a foreshadowing of things to come.

Their defense has improved, but it is still not very good.  If we play defense like we have been, this is a game we should win comfortably.  Don't get me wrong, no game is easy, but I think we match up well in this one.  Plus, I think our guys will be looking forward to playing against a team that doesn't mind playing at a pace we prefer after two grinders in a row.  I also like the match-up b/c Tech is a poor offensive rebounding team and a team that doesn't force many TOs.  IMO that plays right into our hands.
