You can't be racist and like basketball.
It doesn't look likely.  He left a ton of money on the table:

Quote
Jim Wooldridge
His current contract, dated March 12, 2000, originally was through June 30, 2005, but was extended one year.
Annual Compensation
• Salary: $180,000 for the 12 months beginning June 6.
• For Appearances: $275,000 for radio and television; $150,000 for fund-raising and other university events.
• Shoe Contract: $50,000 from the university's contract with Nike. If the basketball program generates more than $50,000 under that contract, Wooldridge receives 50 percent of the additional money generated.
Potential Bonuses
• $25,000 for finishing among the top four Big 12 teams.
• $100,000 for winning the Big 12 regular-season championship.
• $100,000 for winning the Big 12 postseason tournament.
• $25,000 for making the NCAA Tournament, or $50,000 for an appearance in the Sweet 16, or $150,000 for making the Final Four, or $200,000 for winning the championship.
• $10,000 for appearing in the NIT, or $20,000 for making the second round, or $40,000 for the third round, or $50,000 for its final four.
Other Perks
• A vehicle.
• Family membership at the Manhattan Country Club, with golf privileges.
• The "best effort" by athletic department to provide its facilities free for a summer camp.
• Four tickets to each home football game.
• University covers tuition, other fees, room, board and books for children attending Kansas State.
Penalty Clause
If Wooldridge resigns before his contract expires to take another head coaching job, the university is entitled to $327,500.

Most interesting aspects from the article:

Snyder gets a $100,000 bonus for winning a national title, while Wooldridge gets $100k for a Big XII title, a Big XII tourney title, $150k for a Final Four, and 200k for a National Title.

They should have broken his contract down into:

$25 for a key defensive stop.
40$ for a key rebound.
$100 for good late game coaching decision.

I could go on, but you get the gist.

JFC, the university has thrown a boat load of money down a hole for 11 years...
