All Rise... The Judge is in the house.
Maybe no one can be trusted on this team... it's like sucking in the bullpen is contagious... I mean look at Cruz, last year he was a stud in the pen for Zona now he can't go a full inning without giving up a run... major major problems in the pen right now and we are going to have to wait until the offseason to fix it... Then yet again we will disappoint with the signing of a bullpen guy past his prime or just average because we can never sign that key guy...

Bruce Chen?  This team is just a wreck, nothing right.

Just getting a "warmup" session before Monday but we all know no one else could get the job done in the pen so might as well put in Chen... though I am sure at some point tomorrow Soria has to get some innings... we can't keep him cold on the bench...

Good news, everyone! Trey will be back next year!  :ksu:

"So it’s interesting that general manager Dayton Moore — who is taking criticism himself — now tells The Star that Hillman will remain with the Royals not only this season, but next season as well.

'Absolutely,' he says. 'We’re all in this thing together. You can’t keep changing managers and coaches. Continuity is very, very important. If you’ve got people who work hard and people who care and are smart, you stick with them. Because if you stick together through the tough times, we’ve got a chance to win here and do something special long-term.

'You just can’t keep reshuffling.'

TPJ finally DFA'd, Gil Meche heading to the DL, Mitch Maier sent down to AAA. I think more moves are on the way...

damn it, i wanted to see how low TPJs batting average could get by years end

Anyone who didn't see this coming from Dayton Moore doesn't know the Royals...

I have no problem with Hillman staying for this year & next year, I just wish that some of the players would start to perform up to their potential. Cruz has sucked as of late, that isn't Hillman's fault.

I agree... to a point... I really think DM has to do a better job of bringing in players that can contribute. Last offseason he brought in Crisp, Jacobs, Cruz, Farnsworth, and Ponson. During the season he has brought in Freel and Bentancort. Now the jury is still out on the last 2 because they are relatively new but he better start bringing in players that actually have some value or it's DM's job that will be on the line next year the most...

I really don't see a Royals starting pitcher getting a win anytime soon....

The bullpen blows another game in the 8th, I would have brought Soria in the 8th & let him pitch a 2 inning save since he hasn't pitched in a while.

    The very best.
18-11 to 37-54. That's frightening.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

They should have just burned down the K, as opposed to renovating it. What a waste of money.

I still look back at the day Soria went on the DL... when he went to the DL this team was 18-12 I believe, after that the wheels came off... coincidence?

Yes, it is.

Royals are perennial losers.  At least rooting for the Chiefs means moderate regular season success every few years..

They did have the best record of any team in the 90's.  Kinda got people all excited.  I think the best we can hope for nowadays is moderate success every few years though.

The Padres, Indians, and Nationals really piss me off.  Aside from the Nats, there's no way the Royals are the 4th worst team.  They are easily 2nd worst.  I'd dump the whole roster, save Greinke and Soria, for a couple pounds of Alma Cheese Curds.
