Alex Gordon rehab update:

Gordon has played 2 games with AA NW Arkansas & is 2-6 (.333), 4 RBIs, & 3 walks. I think that he is going to be in AA until July 14th, then he will move up to AAA.

Keeping 3 catchers on the roster is just flat out stupid... but I guess that is the way Royals management has always done things... the flat out stupid way...

Dude, I generally agree with you but keeping pena isnt a bad option.  Tell me you would rather have Hernandez over pena?   This gives up decent bat off the bench for a pinch hit spot and still allows us to have ok depth at the infield/outfield.  Not to mention Buck wont catch for a while anyway, and we need as many wins as possible against the central leader.  This is one of the moves im actually ok, and I called it so let me puff my chest out a bit.  Although I knew it a bit sooner than most.

I agree with you 100%, but in this instance, it wasn't a bad move. Buck isn't ready to play every day yet. Having three decent catchers gives us some room to make a move with a team that might need a back up for a playoff push. Brayan Pena is probably our best offensive option out of AAA right now anyways.

I agree with you 100%, but in this instance, it wasn't a bad move. Buck isn't ready to play every day yet. Im only kidding, but yeah Pena is the best option right now out of AAA.  There simply isnt much of a case for hernandez to stay, even though TPJ isn't that good he still has a crap load of more experience.

So you would keep bannister? and callaspo? both are not rechise players... Bannister is nothing more than a 4 or 5 rotation guy and Callaspo on most teams wouldn't even be up to the pros yet...

I would keep Butler, Gordon (still has potential), Hochevar (also based on potential), and maybe DDJ just because I like the way be plays the game...

Bannister is a good pitcher but its between the eats with that guy, also callaspo's defensive problems are solvable.  He has made some terrific plays, don't let the previous royals 2b spoil you.  Its easy to say that he is the position player that hasn't really hurt us.
