Move Jose, Jacobs, and TPJ. If we could get some quality players in a deal, I'd be good with trading Teahen, Mahay, Meche, or Bannister, specially if they offer an mlb ready(or close) shortstop. Young pitching and a catcher would be nice too.
Call up Kila.
Fire Seitzer, Hillman. Name Gibbons manager.
Would only resign Coco if we sign a power hitting corner outfielder (Dye, Bay, Vlad, etc. There are a lot of solid outfielders available in free agency). Need some help in relief and another starter or two.
I doubt any of this will happen.

Should be in good shape with young talent coming up also.

Ok how long do you wait to bring up the young talent?

Moose is still a good year away.  There is a guy named johnny giovatella who is mlb 2nd base ready, but his hitting is suspect.  Could allow us to move callaspo over.  Joe dickerson is an up and coming outfielder.  The pitchers who were going well last year have fallen off. Rosa will be better, he is switching to relief.  Dan Cortes isn't having the same year as last year.  Watch daniel duffy in the futures game the kid is small and absolutly filthy!  There are a good core of pitchers but they are young.  I was really hoping crowe would sign quick get to double a and be a sept call up if he pitched well, but you see how that's going.

Our lack of hitting (especially clutch), horrible defense, and bad bullpen has cost us way too many games this season. Our defense/pitchers allow way too many unearned runs. We have 10 hits and only one run this game with like 8 men left on base. As usual, the bullpen comes in and just makes the game out of reach for our offense, which is struggling to score runs as it is. We are never going to win with a lineup full of triple A players. Our front office needs to spend some money and get some legit players to KC.

Powercat pat no offense you are wrong.  Small market teams can't compete the same as yankees and boston.  We HAVE to have solid draft picks that live up to hype. Much like the diamondbacks and marlins did.

Stick a fork in the Royals.....They're done. This will be my last Royals related post until April unless they make a trade before the deadline.

Yeah our scouting department is pretty stupid... Our player development levels from the rookie league to triple A haven't been good in I don't know how long... It's time to clean house. Everyone in this organization needs to be replaced if you asked me even a lot of the players need to be released or traded for some bats...

Well, I knew the royals were really a couple of years away.  Once moose and hosmer and the young pitchers come along, hopefully they can mesh with the existing players.  Hoch is here to stay and billy is making strides.  I know this would be frowned upon but what about a 3 team trade to get Juan Pierre and deal Teahen, guillen or dejesus.

The market size doesn't matter near as much as a competent front office, scouts, and coaching do. The Rangers, Twins, Marlins, and the Rays all have a payroll less than 70 million and they are all competitive this year, whereas the Mets and Cubs have the second and third highest payrolls in baseball and they are around .500.

The Royals have spent money, they just haven't spent it in a smart way. giving Jose Guillen 12 million a year was a terrible move. Emil Brown put up better numbers than Jose has and he was paid a fraction of the price. Trading two of our strong pen guys for Crisp and Jacobs was a terrible move. Trading JP Howell for &@#%ing Joey Gathright got us nothing, but a video of him jumping over a car.

Also, Mike Aviles is out for the year with Tommy John surgery. Get ready for more TPJ!  :royals:  :royals:  :royals:

The Royals will deal for a minor league up and coming SS soon... cut TPJ. If they don't do this they will never be good in the Dayton Moore era...

Well I am really rooting for D. Moore to get this turned around with a good couple of trades because my job with the team probably hangs in the balance.  Either way if we stay put we might be in some deep trouble.

God, if we could average 4-5 runs a game we would be over .500 and probably pushing for first place.  Our pitching is pretty good.

Is there a stat that shows total double plays in a season against... I think the Royals would be dominating that category as they seem to hit into at least 4 double plays a game...

“Nobody plays harder than Kansas State.  Bilas said that to me in person,” Martin said. Now, does that mean that I’m happy every day?  No, because it’s our job to continue to get those guys to continue to grow.”

Soooo I guess this is the end of me supporting the decisions made by this team.  No changes made to this team that is horribly struggling with average teams, no clear cut plan to even get hitters adjusted, and no clear cut path to the future.  I think after all star break hillman should be gone and probably dayton at the end of the year.  Also this team will never improve unless ownership sells the team, after all of the revenue from this season there is no reason why we shouldnt be spending money to improve the team.  Its really getting pathetic.

I am not so sure ownership is the problem... I think it's the fact that we have a GM that wants to spend the extra money that the Glass family had decided to give them and brought in Mike Jacobs, Juan Cruz, Coco Crisp, and Kyle Farnsworth. OK let's look at those names... here are the season stats....

First look at what each player is making, then look at all their stats...

First Coco...    http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=5299
Second Juan...      http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=4838
Third Kyle...       http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=4049
And finally.......      http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=6385

Let's throw in one player that has never played like the player DM thought he would be http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/profile?playerId=3592

The only smart thing DM had done so far while he has been in office is getting Greinke signed before he broke out and wanted a ton of money. Other than that he has only made the Royals slightly better than what AB did during his tenure. With his latest acquisitions that I have mentioned above though they will take us no further than where we are at now...

We might as well just forfeit the game when we have Jacobs, Hernandez, and Pena in the same starting lineup. We are struggling enough to score runs as it is so Hillman starts our 3 worst hitters, I don't get it. Tony Pena probably couldn't even hit .200 a the AA level, yet he is starting for the Royals.

How many fracking double plays have we hit into this season? Not to mention the bases were loaded with a 3-1 count, there was one out, and the pitch was a borderline strike. God damnit  :banghead:

Royals making a push for Yunel Escobar according to MLBtraderumors website. Would have to unload jose guillen in order for them to get him which I would do in a heart beat. Escobar is pretty good short stop and would be a franchise shortstop if we are able to get him. Also Rumors about 4-5 teams inquiring about Teahen. Of any players on this roster for the Royals right now I think Teahen is the logical choice to get dealt.

It would be nice to have a legit short stop. There's a chance we'd throw in Bale or Mahay to pick up Francoeur as well.

Good win today for the Royals. Bats finally started working and Soria pitched another 1-2-3 ninth.

Wow, I turned the game off and left for the lake after we were down 3-0. I was surprised as hell when I got home and saw we actually won, and scored 6 runs while doing so. Before today's game, the Royals had scored 5 combined runs during their previous 5 games.
