And the Royals win 2 in a row for the first time since May 19th! Also have taken a series for the first time in over a month!

Not to rain on this parade the Royals are having but Cincinnati couldn't have played any worse than they did this whole weekend... Good sweep though like RLS said building confidence slowly but surely...

Yeah its hard to tell if our pitching is better or Cincy offense was horrible. Either way 3 straight winning starting pitchers!

Anytime you have a pitcher go out and throw 80 pitches is still impressive either way.  Guys are still trying to extend at bats and make the pitcher throw as many as possible.  Who cares though, the bats are alive and thats good.  Also when you dont allow the leadoff hitter on in every inning helps

Pitching is starting to look a lot more like the beginning of the year... starting pitching that is... Also the offense is starting to find some magic and it seems when things are going well for the whole team Callaspo is right in the middle of it...

Since Greinke hasn't been pitching "as well" lately, what do you guys think his chances are for a Cy Young? Still the front runner?

I think it's a 4 man race in the AL for the Cy young right now... Greinke, Varlander, Halladay, and Slowey.

If Greinke had Slowey's run support, Cy Young race would be over.

I love listening to Zach after the games he pitches. He pretty much tells you exactly how he pitched and why he pitched that way. Loved his explanation of why he had that bad game against the Jays. He seems to still be in control of this race.

Meche has found it! Now hopefully Greinke regains his magic and we have a pretty solid 1-2-3 again!

It is hard to believe we are only 4.5 games out of 1st place right now. With the way we were playing the last couple of weeks I wouldn't have believed it.

Meche is starting to pitch really well again. The whole rotation has been pitching better lately & the offense has decided to hit. Things are looking pretty good.

On a side note:

Quote
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP)—Kansas City Royals right-handed reliever Kyle Farnsworth had his left index finger bandaged Tuesday after being bitten by one of his two bulldogs.

Farnsworth received four stitches from the bite after breaking up a fight between the two bulldogs on Tuesday morning.

The wound was in Farnsworth’s non-pitching hand.

“He’s got stitches in his left hand,” Royals manager Trey Hillman said. “He didn’t get hurt playing ball. He got hurt at home Monday.”

Hillman said Farnsworth should not miss any time with the injury.

“I’m planning on him wrapping it up and having him available,” Hillman said.

Farnsworth is 1-4 with a 3.43 ERA in 23 relief appearances with the Royals. Farnsworth has also pitched with the New York Yankees, Detroit Tigers, Chicago Cubs and Atlanta Braves.

Just got back from the game a few minutes ago. I got free tickets from some family and sat in the Diamond Club  8-) . Seats were excellent. Got a $9 turkey sub, was pretty meh, but all of the other Diamond Club food was delicous, especially dessert  :lick: . Free t-shirt was decent. Meche was outstanding and the Royals defense was excellent. :royals: Look forward to going back soon.

Greinke is falling apart before our eyes... He is doing something different because it seems like hitters are picking up on him a lot more than they were...
