It's really sad when the best pitcher we have on staff as of the last month has been kyle farnsworth... gotta give him credit though at least he is doing something now...

I think this is the Royals we were all starting to get used to earlier in the year... leading 9-0 in the 5th, Meche pitching awesome with 9 k's through 4 and 2/3. Now hopefully we dont blow this one and send Greinke on the mound tomorrow and try to put something together again...

Meche is starting to look good again. Only given up 3 ER in the last 3 starts, finally startin to earn his money.

Kruk on Baseball Tonight just said "We gave the Cy Young to Gil Meche at the beginning of the year, but now he has some competition."
I think he meant Greinke...but who knows with him....

Farnsworth has been pitching well but yes we can't put full blame of this loss on Hillman... When our defense continues to suck it's going to continue to cost us games... it did Tuesday and it has tonight.

This was the series to sweep and head into the homestand with some momentum. Defense let us down and now we have to play well against a second place team.

True, but in hindsight, might have been a good idea to put Hernandez out in the field with a 3-1 lead in the 8th and get Callaspo out of there. Might not have mattered, as the double off the wall might have scored the runner from first, but just spitballin'.

I love Interleague Play and the Royals have been one of the best teams in baseball in the history of it but, since it's obvious that they match up the Wests vs. each other, the Centrals vs. each other and the Easts vs. each other, wouldn't it be fun to see the Royals go to Wrigley Field sometime?
