Worst part is that the huge removable eraser on the end flew off when it hit the wall and I can't find it. 

thereby destroying the only remaining advantage of the pencil over the pen...sad 

by the sounds of it...i think he still has the standard "pencil included" eraser intact.

Here is my problem with this series... It wasn't that the Royals offense was horrible we were getting hits... we just were not getting the runners in... looking at today's box score the most glaring stat to me is that 23 LOB...

I think they will get that figured out pretty quick though. Overall our front 3 have proven themselves so now let's just hope our next 2 can give us at least 5 innings a piece without giving up too many runs and our offense gets it figured out with men on base.

just had a thought. what if davies turns into being a really good pitcher. let's say a solid #2 type guy. royals could really be onto something if that happened. didn't realize he did as well as he did last year. whip below 1.5, era of about 4.0. maybe he is turning the corner...

After the first couple of days watching how all these teams play unless some teams get hot that are bad right now (which I don't see happening) I think this division will come down the the Royals and the White Sox... Both of them have the best 1-2-3 pitchers in the central and probably even the American League. Very pleased with the pitching though and once Hoch gets back up here it's going to give us another solid pitcher in the back end of the rotation for the remainder of the year

Teams can do some good things with 3 good starters.

The stranded runners are piling up early though, which is disconcerting. But hell, I'll take a series win in Chi-town any day...hate those guys. Every time I see A.J. Pierzynski I think of the line from Major League:
