    Fear the Brick
I want ksu to win all its games, but maybe that's just me.  the "crap talent" argument isn't even an argument, it's a scientific fact.  people that aren't racists against cubans  (PTARAC) understand that the reason people like Martin or don't think there should be any heat on Martin (at least this year) is because they know that next year the team will be infused with talent and that it's reasonable to assume that Martin will bring in more talent in future years, something that has been sorely lacking for a couple of decades or so at KSU.

This team has won its last Big 12 game this year.

Idiotic statements like that diminishes the validity of any other statements you make, whether they have verity or not.

 :powertard:

2 maybe 3 wins . . . this team is completely lost out there and Frank doesn't have the first clue.  But he does run multiple defenses.

You can't be racist and like basketball.
LOL at RustyKSUcat . . . remember, just two weeks ago we had crap, uncoachable talent, now we just got lucky.

Did you even read what I posted?  I said we had 6-10 talent then, I say we have 6-10 talent now.

Even bigger LOLers if K-State only wins 2 more games with home games left against NU, CU and ISU.    But I wouldn't be too surprised if the "we've got crap talent" Martinites don't want that so they can say they were right.

Yeah, because KSU going 7-9 or 8-8 would totally prove me wrong.

Is it just me, or has the demise of the Wefald/Krause Era destroyed what was left of dax's reasoning ability?

Oh, so you saying now that the team hasn't won it's last game of season? Why did you say it was last win of season. I agree, maybe 2 to 3 more wins. Say what you mean in the future instead of being a drama queen next time then please, biatch.

1st, this thread makes me think of the following:

2nd, this team is about where we thought they would be.  We've won one, maybe 2 games many thought we wouldn't preseason (MU, @UT) and lost maybe 2 games many thought we wouldn't (@NU, BU).  Just takes some getting used to, but we are pretty much playing to expectations; ie. being around a .500 Big 12 team.  That trend should continue.  I think Frank will deserve a ton of credit if he gets this team to 9 or more wins, and should only be criticized harshly if we finish with 6 or fewer wins.  7 to 8 is about what I expect and seems (and always has) reasonable to me.

It's astonishing how up and own this board gets from the start of league play through the end of the season when we always end up about exactly what people were predicting and expecting in November. A graph with the general consensus prediction at the beginning and the actual result at the end with the boards ups and downs in between would be extremely LOL.

would probably look something like this only w/ comments.
Show me defense.

I'd take Capel and Self, but all the rest are pretty much Nortard-equivalents.

Barnes would be ahead of either in my book

Could you explain why?  Other than the fact that you hate ku?

LOL @ 'Pad by the way... calls other people "Martinites" when he wouldn't trade him for any other coach in the Big 12 (keep in mind this includes a guy with a National Championship and another guy with two Final Fours).

I don't know... if you looked at both teams, I'd say ku has more talent, even after losing 8 players from a National Championship team.  Throw in Withey, Robinson, and Johnson next season, and that team will be ridiculous.

Hamilton and Bradley are big-time prospects, but so are Robinson and Johnson.  Texas is losing Abrams and possibly James, so they're in need of some immediate impact players.  ku's basically just adding depth, unless Aldrich/Collins leave early.

Well, Self has owned Barnes in the Big 12 tournament and just won a National Championship.  I just don't see how Barnes' accomplishments measure up to that.  Recruiting is virtually even.  Barnes is a good coach, but Self has taken three different teams to the Elite Eight, including Tulsa.

yeah, aldrich is leaving. collins will prolly bail as well. those are like, your two best players, by like, far.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Listen, KSU also owns Barnes.  Doesn't change the fact that his 2009/2010/2011 classes are looking unreal.  If we all had time machines and were going back 5 or 6 years and then deciding who we would take maybe my decision would be different.  Right now though, Barnes looks to be it.  :dunno:

Collins will be back... he's like Dee Brown from Illinois.  Great college basketball player, but his height won't get him drafted in the 1st round.  Hell, Chalmers didn't even get drafted 1st round.  Aldrich has said he plans on being back as well, but if anyone leaves early, it's him.

Cole would be nuts to stick around another year, he's projected as a lottery pick already.  Collins, I don't see him going anywhere except jail maybe.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

The biggest problem that Barnes has, at least as far as making Final 4/NC runs is concerned, is that he recruits too well.  Not just going forward.  The list of UT early departures over the last few years is ridiculous.
