Krugers Got to Go!

Not the right fit here and I know its only his second year but recruiting absolutely sucks. He is just some hick from the midwest who can't fit in here. We need to start promoting Bobby Huggins right now grass roots style and catch the ear of a big booster. Bob Huggins is such a perfect fit for UNLV. We should be like Memphis but we are acting like a Kansas State. We have the academic requirements to be like a memphis and we can afford a coach like Calipari.

WE WANT HUGGINS!

He kind of had an uphill battle to begin with.

Supposedly George Karl wanted the UNLV job, and their administration didn't give him the time of day.

They do kind of think like Kansas State.

Well, I'll yield to NC's opinion on this.  He's obviously the expert on this board on the current state of UNLV basketball.

The Rebs underperformed last night.  Just that simple.  I couldn't make the game as I had another engagement, but did catch most of the 2nd half.  You are going to have some upset bulletin board village idiots after any performance like that.  This guy would appear to be one.

Yeah, Lon's recruiting did suck while at K-State.  He moved to Florida and it didn't get any better.  He survived at Illinois mostly due to location...and it's always been a perceived weakness to me.  That said, I've been pretty impressed with what he has brought in during his short time in LV.

Tumbleweed Tech may still have low requirements to get in (I mean, why not, this town speaks against education), but they are trying to change.  I don't think Huggins is walking through those doors.  Neither is Tarkanian, who still casts a pretty big shadow now that he's back in town.

I would guess that Lonnie's time in the NBA makes recruiting quite a bit easier for him.

Two-and-a-half years from now, Kruger's gonna lose his job and this guy's going to be on their boards telling everybody how he called it 2.5 years ago, like he wants a prize or something.

get the right assistant coaches and the recruiting takes care of itself.  a kruger and bozeman team would be on top of the big 12 in 3 years.
"these are no longer “games” in the commonly accepted sense of the term. these are free throw shooting contests leavened by the occasional sprint to the other end of the floor."
