remote extenders

do these things work decently? are there any really small ones? I'm mounting a tv that i want to have hooked up to a box, but I want the box to be in a different room or hidden or something. is there something better/easier

we use a similar deal at my parents house for wireless internet. can get online from almost 100 yards away.

They work.

I have an IR blaster.  Thing can pick up the signal from across the house.  All your components can be put away, and you just need to expose a little "eyeball" thingy.  I can't remember the brand I bought, but it was less than $100.
