I mean.... K-State has NEVER been to the NCAA baseball tournament?  Holy cow.   ku became the first school to play in a Final Four, College World Series, and bowl game all in the same year back in 1993.

You have to feel sorry for ku fans.  Mangino will probably pull a Woody Hayes and get fired.  All the recruiting violations in basketball will put them on probation, coach fired, and program goes to Hell.  The once top notch track team finished last in the Big 12.

ku sucks. :nahnah:

Not to change the subject . . . if the NCAA ever truly investigated ku basketball, they'd shut down the program.   No major conference D1 basketball program would come through completely unscathed on a NCAA full body cavity search . . . but ku is one that would have the hammer dropped on them.   See my sig for a reference point.

Congrats again on your first ever NCAA tournament appearance in baseball.  Very good season for the QKATZ.

BMW I hate to admit it but you are a very good poster and you make a lot of respectable arguments.

I'm still EMAW

Morris should be fine to pitch Wednesday. I think we have to throw him out there because he seems to be the only one on this pitching staff that can beat ku and I have faith in our other pitchers that they can beat Texas and Baylor.

Are you serious?  Did you see the way Vogel and Hoge pitched down the stretch?  Do you realize Texas is number five in the county?  The only way we beat Texas is if we win 15-14.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

Do you realize we haven't lost to Texas this year? Do you realize that Baylor is the lowest seed in this tournament for a reason? The way I see it we stand a better chance throwing Morris Wednesday and taking a risk on the others in the other games. Besides if you start Morris tomorrow then you give him a chance to start in the championship series if we make it.

I didn't have to download anything at all to watch it.

If you can't watch it, try this:
http://www.big12sports.com/liveStats/newLiveStats.dbml?&DB_OEM_ID=10410&DB_LANG=C&KEY=&SPID=13131&SPORT_ID=13131&GAME_STAT_ID=223551

Good win they took the risk of saving Morris and how we have a pretty good shot at getting to the championship series with him still available.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Let's hope so.  Texas would obviously be a much more formidable opponent than Baylor.

And besides Morris is from Humble, outside of Houston...Longhorn country.  He pitched a whale of a game this year in Austin.  Complete game, 8 hits, 2 runs, 1 earned, 2 walks, 5 strike outs, 141 pitches.

He has it out for Texas.  They throttled him last year at the tournament in the Championship game.  2 and a third innings, 5 runs.   That game was his motovation to work his rear off this off season.  I'd say it's worked for him.
