I can't believe we are still ranked, let alone 11.  Stupid.  We look terrible.  I am expecting this team to pull a Deb Patterson in the post season.

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Odd, because the announcers said they thought that KSU would be ranked higher if we were perennial power.  And thanks to everyone for jumping off the bandwagon, it was getting a little too full.

usually I don't like calling out coaches like this, and I'm assuming he is helping to make pitching changes.  The things done with the rotation the last few games and like clock work are horrible.  There is no sense to most of their coaching changes.

We still get to play them again in the Big 12 tourney with Morris pitching.

Quite the leg pissing out there yesterday.  And that was impressive even by K-State standards.

A chance to win the final series, host a NCAA regional, finish second or third in the Big XII standings.........and the bat cats get run ruled.

Lol.

Wednesday vs. KWho at 9 AM  (seriously, 9am?  good job Big 12)
Thursday vs.  Tejas at 3pm.
Saturday vs. Baylor at 9 AM

Who the eff plays at 9 am?  That's beyond rediculous.

http://www.kstatesports.com//pdf5/407358.pdf?SPSID=3226&SPID=222&DB_OEM_ID=400

There's FOUR games Wednesday and Saturday and only TWO on Thursday and Friday.  How about playing 3 each day, starting at 12:30.  Good lord the Big 12 is clueless.
I'd much rather have a 69 year old coach than one that weighs 400+ pounds.

So the work he did to improve Hoge and Morris does not matter? I'll admit I'm not a huge fan of McCann, Mizzou hasn't missed a beat since he left but I do think he did a decent job for the most part. He's not the best pitching coach in the league, but he isn't the worst either.

If he pitches 2 of those 3 games then Hill/McCann are absolutely clueless. There is absolutely no need to overuse Morris with the biggest start of his life coming up the next weekend. The Big XII Tournament is a nice thing to win but in the grand scheme of things is much less important than the Regionals.

eh seems like a 21 yr old ought to be able to pitch on 2-3 days rest no problem then have nearly a week off after that before another start.  heck its not like he'd be real tired after pitching once a week all season.  a somewhat tired morris on saturday is better than whoever else we'd throw out there.  short of a major career ending injury happening i think it would be a good move.  i'd like to win the big 12 champ more than win one game in the ncaa's.  maybe i'm on an island on this i dunno.

No way dude.  there is an amazing amount of damage done to an arm during pitching.  The days off aren't for overall fatigue, but for arm muscle-specific fatigue.  You simply have to have time off to allow the damage done to the blood vessels in the arm to heal.  There's a reason why coaches and organizations coddle their young pitchers well into their professional careers.  And winning a game is never worth endangering a young man's shot at playing professionally.  4 days rest is pushing it, 2-3 days is not even an option.

All Rise... The Judge is in the house.
Morris should be fine to pitch Wednesday. I think we have to throw him out there because he seems to be the only one on this pitching staff that can beat ku and I have faith in our other pitchers that they can beat Texas and Baylor.

I mean.... K-State has NEVER been to the NCAA baseball tournament?  Holy cow.   ku became the first school to play in a Final Four, College World Series, and bowl game all in the same year back in 1993.
