This is why I laugh at people trying to say "see, told you Frank sucks..." ....like, our alternatives (or their ilk) that we would have hired are at all the other schools whose basketball team sucks.  And while some would argue you can't assume that KSU would have made a bad hire.....given what we know about Wefald, Weiser, and Krause and their decision making, it's a safe assumption.  As a matter of fact, it's not even an assumption.  It would have happened.  We would have hired McDermott and been sitting here saying "if he could just get some better recruits".

Granted, the recruits were the #1 reason for this, but why would we trade this for a bunch of coaches that haven't accomplished as much as Martin has in one season?  The arguments just don't make sense when you really think about it.

Petro had a pretty good point yesterday on his show.  He said that Boeheim started his career as a pretty bad gameday coach.  He made up for it with great talent on the floor.  Then, he gradually kept getting better as a gameday coach and didn't have to lean as heavily on top shelf talent.  Not comparing the two coaches, but it's Franks second year as a head coach and his team is young.  Give the man some Fracking time.
