Why haven't we already fired Martin-Hill?  There is still a good chance we could get someone who reads above a 3rd grade level to coach our stud talent coming in.  Just a thought.
Welcome back, Bill.

You think Jake being color blind and repeatedly passing to the wrong team and not being able to hit the broad side of a barn with his shots has anything to do with Frank?

Not at all.  Consistent non-execution of basic basketball fundamentals is in no way a reflection on how well a team is coached.  It has more to do with genetics.

JS seems to forget that without Martin/Hill, we have a team full of Darren Kents.

Keep it in perspective, tard.

Quite frankly (no pun intended), the players Wooly recruited are the only reason the Huggins/Martin era is anything other than one great big sell your soul down the river for Beasely extravaganza.

Cartier Martin, Lance Harris, Tim Ellis, Gilson DeJesus, Matt Seibrandt, David Hoskins, Jeremiah Massey, Fred Pete, Larry Ried, Pervis Pasco, Frank Richards etc...

The players listed above + those I failed to list who logged serious minutes during the Wooly era are arguably better players at the Big 12 level than any player not named Beasely or Walker in the Huggs/Cuban Maniac era.  To boot, they were better coached.

I'm sorry folks.  We should never have fired Wooly.

Welcome back, Bill.

Who's soul did we sell for the '09 recruits.  Also, how many souls do we have left to sell?

It's one thing to get down in the muck and mud that ku plows away in to get players.  It quite another to do so without anything that resembles a legitimate D1 head coach.  Once again, KSU misses the boat and has to look up to big bro for a lesson in managing a successful renagade AD.  Thank God that Bill Snyder won't &@#% around.  He will cheat WAY harder than Mangino can afford to cheat.  KSU football wil save us.

LOL   :powertard:  Thats the most power-tardy thing I've read on this forum in a long time.

I agree that the talent level on this team is not as good as some of the better Wooly teams.  That's why he needs another year.  Huggins/Beasley isn't nearly as good without Huggins and Beasley.  I want to see if Frank learns how to coach in the next 14 months.  His persona with the media isn't helping his cause.

I guess I don't really mean that.

It's just hard to fall back to this level after what we had last year.  Althogh, if you remember, despite having the greatest player tandem in program history we only made it to the NCAA's by the skin of our teeth.  We had to barely beat a very bad ISU team to end the reg season or else we weren't getting in.

Wally and Rodney + Nick Russell (who I'm hoping will be the intelligent guard we've lacked) will be HUGE-HUGE-HUGE-&@#%ING, MOTHER &@#%ING HUGE additions to this team.  It really won't be the same team at all.  Not even close.

People, the future is bright.  This year will suck.  Ying/Yang bitches.

Class of 2010 looks pretty good too, IMO.

My assumption is that the class of 2011 might not be bad either...

Let the guy do his thing.  He can bring good kids in if given time.

you're smarter than this bmw.  he's good because he has recruited better than the mean of previous coaches at his position.  because he consistently gets his teams to play hard.  and because he has taken guys that individually were almost all average to poor defenders (except young last year and sutton this year*) and combined them into teams with top 25 defenses.

really the last is just a bonus.  90% of success in college bball is explained by having better players and playing hard.

* pullen this year and especially clemente might be slightly above average, but they're close enough to not worry about.

LOL... that's pretty weak stuff there, sys.  Everyone with a pulse knows that Delonte Hill is the recruiter at K-State.  It's not Martin's fault that he's unqualified to be coaching at the Big 12 level... you can blame that on your incompetent administration there at K-State.  Personally, I'd say the jury's still out on Martin.  However, calling him a good coach is quite the stretch at this point.

everybody with a pulse is wrong.  hill is fine, does a good job.  but of the 6 recruits signed for 2009 and committed for 2010, hill was the primary recruiter on 2.  also didn't recruit the 1 decent 2007 recruit.

Jesus, I want you to know that I respect your opinions and your meltdowns are normally above average in their quality. But that statement is simply not true. Alzheimers or death will set in before he can get anything resembling a football team back on the field. Program has taken too deep of a plunge since 03, including under his watch. KSU football will not save you. Youre a basketball school now. Accept it.

But, if you got a more veteran assistant to coach next to Martin, maybe that would help. I just dont know. I personally love frank. Dude is outright the most entertaining coach in the big12 for any sport (inlcuding Leech and his interviews) now that Bob Knight is gone. Hell he could be the second coming of Bob Knight regarding antics (not coaching... obviously). Anyways, keep up the good work JS. Love your material.
