I think I'm the only one that knows what he's talking about. And it's a cool town I guess, but it is really really fake. Like, it's just a major tourist trap. If you want to go to yellowstone you should stay elsewhere.

That does help and that was kind of my concern because in my head i'm like "ooooh jackson hole, tough guys, wild wild west, cool hangout i bet" and then i'm like "wait a minute here rick...probably just has a lot of shops selling expensive candles and middle aged couples with fannypacks"

It's not your typical ski town. Lodging is fairly inexpensive compared, say, to the nicer Colorado resorts. It's an OK town that surprisingly doesn't seem to revolve entirely around skiing. There's a couple bars that if you walk in looking like anything but a local, you'll get glares. The mountain is steep, generally with excellent pow and plenty of it (this year being no exception).

And rocks, and dream catchers and lbs of fudge.  I have been several times, granted I was in the Boy Scouts, but even then I had pretty elite knowledge at spotting a tourist trap.  If you like old deer antlers, head for the town square.  And don't worry, the shootout in the street is done with actors.  Like the bartender that shot Clark Griswold in Dodge City.
