When you guys were kids did your parents ever take you on vacation to some back country locale and you rode around in those WWII Duck boat/car things?  WTF is with those things?

LOL yeah I know what you're saying. I was in one of those when I was like 5 and the f#ucking thing died on the water. They had to radio in another "Duck" so we could all board that one.

more like 40% ku, 25% MU, and 8% KSU (27% other) going by the stats i've seen.  Ask a real estate agent who sells lofts downtown, they'll probably have the same info.

ku alums outnumber mizzou alums 3 to 1 in the KC metro area overall and mizzou alums are #2 by a decent margin.

Seriously though, MJ would prolly know the consequences of doing something like that and what the downside would be.  For all of his failings he's been threatended with lawsuits about a gagillion times and by neccesity become pretty familiar with that kind of thing.

Honestly I'm gonna miss you Mark!!
so if someone goes to ku to become a farmer what do they major in?  Am I missing something here?

They don't teach fracking biology at ku?  WTF?

i'm sure they do.  I never ventured onto that side of campus very much.  I'd assume the med school has a need for plenty of biology related courses.

How is KSU's med school?
Its actually a Vet School but in a way i suppose you could refer to it as a med school

It must really sting those JoCo folks that their parents or grandparents worked the ground near Pretty Prairie or such like. Probably have a vision of their Kansas forebearers arriving in the state in Beemers and pastel sweaters draped over their shoulders, ready to do some lawyering in Corporate Woods.

I just want to know why you brought up Pretty Prairie...I'm one of about 15 people in the whole state can point it out on a map... the other 14 are my mother and siblings/grandparents.
I know where PP is at on a map

When you guys were kids did your parents ever take you on vacation to some back country locale and you rode around in those WWII Duck boat/car things?  WTF is with those things?
hells yea! got to drive that sumbitch when i was like 8

"Warm up the Swather"

  no idea what a swather is but that's a damn funny looking word.

Swather is for cutting Hay to make bales for feeding the cows to make beef and/or milk to feed the city folk.

I learned to drive one in fifth grade on a farm by Kelso, the only implement (other than a Ford tractor) that I ever operated.

I never ran a swather.

I did run over a deer (fawn) with a disc once.  Brutal.
I've ran a swather all summer long for like the last 8 yrs, have totally destroyed some crazy crap. Turkeys, Yotes, million rabbits and snakes, harrow  :frown:, beach balls, a shoe, etc  :Carl: :Driving:

wtf is a swather and how is it killling america's wildlife?  maybe the fact that our entire student body has been operating swathers their entire live and taking down all of kansas' wild animal population would explain why PETA hates our guts.  :blank:

I never understood why K-State fans couldn't admit that ku, by and large, owns the Kansas City market.  It's fairly obvious.

Yeah bro, there are more ku fans than KSU fans in KC.  Nobody has argued otherwise.  Now, the majority clearly isn't what oneup thinks it is but it is there.

from Wiki
Quote
A windrow is a row of cut (mowed) hay or small grain crop.

It is allowed to dry before being baled, combined, or rolled. For hay, the windrow is often formed by a hay rake, which rakes hay that has been cut by a mower machine or by scythe into a row, or it may naturally form as the hay is mowed. For small grain crops which are to be harvested, the windrow is formed by swather which both cuts the crop and forms the windrow.

then baled

or

or

then fed

can you take it from here?

OOOHHH, OOHHH I can point out Pretty Prairie.  But I bet less can find Plevna.  Population 100.  We grows some good wheat and raise yummy cows certified angus and herferd. (what ever that means)

Grandparents raised all of their kids (including my mom) in Pretty Prairie.  Gramps was pretty high up on the food chain in that school district as well, at one time.  Had an uncle/aunt that lived in Castleton, another lived right near Mt. Vernon and they now lives in Cheney.  But no, sadly, I can't point out Plevna.  I had been down in the area many, many times, but not looking around for other little po-dunk towns.  I do know there is a Catholic church to the southwest a bit in the middle of no where and I'm not talking about Mt. Vernon either.  It's just on a strange dirt road going west for a mile or two off whatever highway that is that runs south by PP.  Always thought it was strange to just build a church willy nilly but they have all kinds of isolated churches in that area, I'm sure.  They all seat like 40 people too.  LOL

Had a band teacher in high school that was from Pretty Prairie or surrounding area.  I can't remember exactly.  Did you go to Hutch Juco because he lives/works there currently, I believe.
Nope did not go to Hutch Juco went strait to Manhappieness.  To work on my Kstatriotism although I was already a kstariot long before I went there.  I live in Buhler now.

Kstatriot plus Buhler Grad, right here.  And I can point out both Plevna and Pretty Prairie
