Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but K-State not only out rebounded ku, they also took 16 more shots.

When you out rebound a team and have 16 more shots than them, you should beat them.  (If you don't have your worst shooting night of the year)

Also a little upset that I didn't see Clemente shoot a single 3.   :curse:

The Clemente thing is meaningless.  Our D was shockingly bad last night, gave them too many good shots.  Look at their FG%.

Yeah, clearly the main reason (thought its always silly to pick just one) that we lost the game.  The rest of our numbers weren't all that bad, but allowing a team to shoot 58% and be that efficient on offense will get you beat almost every time unless you match their percentage and efficiencty (see OU last year).

the turnovers in the last two conference games have been brutal.  you can thank our craptastic non-con for preparing the guys so well and over inflating their sense of how good they are.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Turnovers = transition points = high FG %

Not saying our defense wasn't shockingly bad (cause it wasn't good)...just sayin turnovers aren't helping the cause any...
Wondering who is running this hot dog stand and seriously considering heading out for tacos.

the actual number of to's wasn't that bad.  It's just that most of them led to layups.

Yeah, those were down.

But TOs are really a secondary point IMO.  If we play defense like we did last night we aren't going to beat anyone.  And poor defense is even more magnified b/c our defense feeds what we want to do on offense so much.  Last year we could get away with an average to below average defensive game now and then b/c we had a couple guys that were going to go out and get 20 within the offense b/c they were studs.  This year we don't have that luxury.  So this year if we don't defend, get some points in transition, get a bunch of offensive rebounds and "extra possessions", etc. we aren't going to be very good.  I think we have some better match-ups to allow for that against the rest of the north and Tech.  Then if we can steal one b/c we have a great shooting night or whatever from one of the other teams on our schedule, great.

I couldn't believe that we had 16 offensive rebounds and they only had 7.  Shows you how hot they were and how we can't make a put back shot.  Only stat that stuck out to me was the free throws.  They made more free throws than we had total.  Not a shocker here.
Here's hoping that Clams is chillin' with someone cool up in that big EMAW in the sky. RIP Clams, RIP.

Chucking up ill-advised shots early in the possession might as well be a turnover.

I actually looked at this several times during the game and it wasn't nearly as big a deal as I knew it would be made out to be.  The FT numbers were really pretty even most of the game, it was the last 5 or so minutes that it really turned when we started fouling a lot and we really didn't put ku in position to foul us b/c we were chucking shots and not attacking the lane.

there really is no excuse for turning the ball over the way we have against OU and ku.  i can understand the defensive problems because we haven't played anyone nearly as good as either team and it's hard to hit the highway running 60 mph.  i'll excuse the last two craptastic games if he show improvement as our guys get used to playing b12 caliber talent.  what can't be excused is our turnovers, and not only that but HOW we're turning the ball over.  it's rediculous.

True.  We've had some really stupid, unforced TOs the last two games.

Very true.  I wasn't saying we lost the game because the refs were "slighting" us although it did get pretty bad at the end.  They shot the ball well and we didn't.  They played nice "d", we didn't. :whistle1:

look at the fts attempted too, stat-tard.  ksu didn't have many, if any, more possessions than ku.

Who kept the stats?  I can count almost all 7 of the offensive rebounds by ku with out watching the game.  They had to have had more than that.

Oh, my bad.  I was under the impression that a three point attempt (3) was worth more than a free through attempt (1).  Thanks for clearing that up.   I think that we just shot the ball much worse than they did.

just noticed your sig.  that's a little weird, if you don't mind an unbiased, nonpartisan, outsider's view.

Defense was coah fault why do you not trap there point guard's on that sceen instead you have your bigs hugging there center behind the three point line your point following his man all the way to the rim you have to make him pass jump the screen and make the big beat you fropm out there. he didn't make one damn adjustment can't win that way need better in game changes
