ku people often forget what state they are from

actually, 'ku people' are from all over the country and most are from major cities like KC, Chicago etc...  Sure there are plenty of kids from around kansas that go there but it's not like KSU where the vast majority of the students are from in state.  I'm sure some of you losers will come up with some stats since you don't have anything better to do. 

outside of lawrence and KC it seems like the rest of the state is more pro-ksu than pro-ku.

For God's sakes, the world does not revolve around Johnson County, Chicago, and St. Louis.  Most of us are just regular Kansans like the rest of the state.  We just don't shoot our mouths off about it all the time.

Seriously, it makes me want to puke.

The JOCO/Chicago/out-of-state crowd think they own the friggin' university and never stop spouting off about it.  They talk trash on rural Kansas not realizing that half their classmates are from rural Kansas.  Those of us from rural Kansas weren't raised to talk about ourselves all the time.  Hell, we've spent our entire lives paying the freaking taxes that give them their university because they weren't rich enough to make it in their own damn state.  I swear I want to bash their heads in most of the time. 

I remember some d-bag ku intern on 810 made some outrageous claim on-air that nearly half of ku students were from Chicago like he was.  Little hard to do when 3/4 of the enrollment is from Kansas and we also have thousands of foreigners too.  I wanted to call in and demonstrate on-air how stupid he was to his bosses.

7,667 of ku's undergraduate population, about 35% is from Johnson County, nearly 18,000 of ku's 24,500 on campus students are from Kansas, 19,910 of those on campus students are listed as White, of the remainder nearly half are simply unlisted or foreign students.  ku has < 2,000 Black and/or Hispanic students. 

Yeah, that's diversity.

Not being from KS and being from a larger metro area (Orlando and Miami) I fracking hate all the brats from JoCo that think they are a large urban area.  JoCo is a bunch of suburbs that grew together and are an example of good planning.
