Haven't you heard? Petrino only likes to score on the opening drives of each half. For the rest of the game he'll just string you along.

Apparently there wasn't enough "want to" in Louisville.

    The very best.
What's refreshing about our defense is we don't have to use any "if's" to show we are a good defensive team. The proof is right there.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Which is why hox, et al, are so pissed at the moment. Hell, a visit to the Louisville board after the game was like a virtual pat on the back for any K-Stater.

This isn't like a moral victory. It's simply good news for the future of this team and program.

While I was encouraged on Saturday, how about we stop short of being like ku fans and being so happy about "not getting blown out" as bad as some thought we would?

Why?  That's what bad teams do, especially after two straight losing seasons.

"Vanilla offense".

"Dumbed down for inferior qb."

Christ, you'd think uL had Barman at backup qb.

I would have expected the fine folks at Phog.net to be complimentary in their post-game analysis of the 'Cats.
I'm shocked that any of their posts had a negative tone.   :fiesta:

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

I tend to agree with Nation.  I liked what I saw out of the defense (sans Seiler and Cline at DT and Erker at Safety) but the game doesn't necessarily make me think that we're a good football team.  Our offense is worse than our defense is good and on special teams our return game is good, but our field goal unit has had some problems.

That being said, as for ku fans bagging on KSU because UL had a back up QB, they must have forgotten the one legged Toledo QB that beat ku.

Which is what every messageboard of a non-con opponent looks like after they beat you... plenty of 'You're good, I expect you to kick ass the rest of the season' and 'You had an awesome [insert some aspect of the team here] and it really gave us trouble.'

Do you really expect them to say that you sucked badly no matter what the game looked like?
I'm telling you, this is not ANYTHING like the team from the beginning of conference play. You will see no more blowouts like what happened in OOC.  If we lose, it will not because these kids gave up, and it will be at the buzzer. -Rodless, before 97-70

Legit question.  It's going to be a real biotch to put points on the board.

But I think we knew that going in.

Probably not. I don't bother with administrative stuff like that. And we don't need permission to edit your posts, technically speaking, though I've never seen it abused by any of the mods.

I wonder why... could it be because Miami stomped on their logo in the middle of the field before the start of the game?

Oh, and because everyone hates Miami?

I believe it is because all of the crap that Miami talked before the game (Miami's fans). Goldy is just jealous that everyone hates ku fans because ku fans are the most arrogant &@#%s on this planet. They are the NU fans of college basketball, except ku hasn't even accomplished near as much as NU has.
