You can't be racist and like basketball.
The attendance discussion made me think of the old topic of Weiser proclaiming that he wasn't going to market in KC, (or something to that effect.)

I guess there were some radio ads for the Louisville game, but other than that, you don't see anything here.  Any thoughts on why we don't advertise in the market with the most KSU fans/alumni?

I don't recall KSU having much of an advertising presence in Wichita, either.

Would advertising in KSU's "metro" areas help fill BSFS?

I think so. I never see anything purple but see ku billboards, ads in newspapers, etc. all over the place. The radio ads up here (especially on 810) for the Hawks runs constantly. MU as well.

I agree with Weiser- he's simply buying into the law of diminishing returns.
The few people who would have needed a commercial or billboard to be convinced to drive to Manhattan from KC to see their undefeated football team play a Top 10 team wouldn't have brought in the amount of money it would have cost to get their butts in the seats in the first place.

ku advertising on 810 has a lot to do with 810 being their network now.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

bah you're right, doesn't change my point re: advertising in kc though.
yes, 610 is their home network in kc, they advertise the hell out of themselves on 810.  Boeger?

let them waste their money. It is hilarious. Not everyone can be one of the most fiscally responsible (cheapest) athletic dept. in the country.

The reason you dont hear advertisements for KSU football is the same reason we dont hear adds for Gayhawk basketball, the product sells itself. :ksu:
