True Story.
Here's the official (condensed version) from KSU Athletics...
Quote
Herrera Opts to Leave Men's Basketball Program
Junior forward Abdul Herrera has opted to leave the Kansas State men's basketball program, Head Coach Frank Martin announced Tuesday.
"Abdul has decided to leave our program," Martin said. "We are certainly disappointed with his decision, but we wish him all the best in his future plans."

Will be interesting to see how this impacts the APR.  Hopefully he left in good academic standing.  If not, may as well just call our 13th scholarship the 'Jason Bennett Memorial Scholarship", since nobody will ever get to use it.
As God is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

noticed that he wasn't behind the bench tonight.  disappointing that he didn't wait till the end of the year.

Now that's how you get out a f***ing blood stain.
hate to ask ... what's the hit we take on APR, if any?

Was a notch above Joe Leonard, so, a transfer is best for him. Actually, giving up basketball and focusing on the degree might be best fwiw.

There are still no free schollies.  We were short one with Abdul.  If we lose the Jason Bennett memorial scholarship again next year we'll have to find another schollie.  Two if the juco guard signs in the spring.

    The very best.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.
