My Review of COD5

First, I should tell you that COD4 was a &@#%ing XBOX Live awaking for me.  I thought Live was for the birds until I found that little gem.  I loved the single player of COD4 as well.  Everything about it was dreamy.  Maybe "best game ever" for me....just a hair behind Zelda on the Ninten.

So, when I read all the negative stuff about the dashed hopes and dreams from COD5 I was nearly distraught. But, I decided to through it in the ol' Gamefly queue for craps and giggles.

Opened 'er up tonight and have been at for about 4.5 hours.   Very, very good game.  Not COD4, but the best thing I have played short of that.  Single player is solid.  Fun, but the real deal is online multiplayer.

The maps are bigger, and there seems to be more of them....maybe my imagination.  The guns are cool...the old timey stuff is cool once you resign yourself to the idea that this is a "period game."  The Tank stuff can be fun, both when you have the tanks, and when you circle around them sniping the hell out of them.  I came into this thinking the dogs would be stupid, and they aren't really that bad.  Kinda cool that they help you figure out where &@#%ers are.

Maybe my thoughts will change after some more time with the game, but I am going to purchase it from Gamefly.

I think I've just played too many WWII games and it no longer intrigues me.  I mean the game's engine and core is that of COD 4 and I have no problem with the game play, I guess I've just gotten bored with WWII weapons (exp the flamethrower, it looks so pretty). Kinda meh to me, L4D and Gear 2 are better IMO.

I pretty much own with the MP40. Long range, I'll use the STG sometimes but I prefer the DP28. Don't even bother with the bolt action rifles unless you're a camping fag.

I doubt any game will ever be called COD 5, I'm betting IW doesn't call their next one it and as long as the series goes they will just be unique titles, but JMO.

same for me but sometimes I'll snipe on the cliffs, pretty fun, and great in ground war WAr.  Went like 40 and 5 the other day sniping on War.

only downside to cod4 right now is fewer players.  However there were TONS of newbs playing right after xmas=great k/d ratio for cireksu.

lol, yeah.  I played COD4 last night, and I was owning more than usual.  I wasn't even trying.  I was just running out in the middle of everything, but they couldn't kill me.

amen, brother.  I normally suck at CoD4, but I'm rocking pretty hard lately.  For my self-esteem's sake, I'm sticking to 4 until the new people get better than me.
