Morris' stock is going to go through the roof. Buy now. It's basically the same personnel as last year, with the biggest exception being him. It's amazing how much these kids love playing defense for him. Unreal. Really fun to watch.

Where would he go?

He isn't going to go to Miami (as a coordinator) or somewhere after one year as our coordinator.

hopefully for some reason he decides that making a million dollars a year isn't for him and that he would rather be an assistant all of his life. snyder was an assistant until he was in his late forties.. i hope we get him for atleast a little bit more anyway..

There will be plenty of openings this year, trust me. He'll be pushed by the Black Coaches Association, wait and see. I wouldn't be surprised if he left. Just my hunch.

I just don't see anyone at a higher level than we are taking a chance on him already, maybe after the third year, but not before.

Herm Edwards was very high on him when he was hired.  If he leaves at least he may go to the Chiefs

Does a guy who is currently a defensive coordinator and as already left the NFL want to go back to the NFL and be a position coach?

I wouldn't, I want to be in charge of something.

Why are you assuming he has to go to a place at a higher level? I mean, Jesus, it's a BCS school. What if something in the WAC or something comparable opened up? He wouldn't do that? Tell me why he wouldn't.

He probably would if it was a a head coaching job, but this guy is NOT going to get a head job already. I am talking about moving on to a coordinator job at a "better" school.

You don't get a head coaching job after 4 years of college experience and one as a coordinator.

I doubt Morris would leave after the first year, but I believe he'll get several offers after this year, especially, if we can win a few Big 12 games and go to a bowl.

 all I am saying is that J-Mart is a well known sports writer and knows what he is talking about. He writes for the Wichita fricken Eagle man. Not the Manhattan Mercury, not the Lawrence Journal World or whatever the hell it is, but the Wichita Eagle. He knows his stuff.

Are you thinking head coaching offers?

I can see him leaving for more money to be a coordinator somewhere, but I don't see anywhere that could pay him significantly more money taking a risk on a first year DC that will struggle to be bowl eligible.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.
