Self has had ten consecutive 23-win seasons.  He's the only current coach who hasn't had a 10-loss season over the past 10 years.  He's got a higher winning percentage at ku than Roy Williams.  He just won the National Championship with ku and watched his Illinois team nearly win a National Championship in '05.  The guy is only in his mid-40's and is already one of the best coaches in the country.  Assuming ku wins against Tech/Texas, that's five Big 12 titles in a row.
for some reason i think you have that tattooed on your ass.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Why do you guys always counter legitimate points with personal attacks?  It's like you're just conceding that everything you've previously said is bullsh*t.

Name one coach you'd rather have than Bill Self.  Go ahead, I need a good laugh.

Coach K., Boeheim, Roy, Izzo, Calipari, Calhoun, Pitino, Travis Ford.  To name a few.

You were going strong there and then Travis Ford came out.  Did your fingers slip on a banana peel  :)

    The very best.
one (1) final four is pretty weak.
It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Just think, at one point we legitimately got to ask how many McD AA's and NBA lottery picks does it take for Bill Self to get past the 1st round of the NCAA tourney.

LoLz at a high school coach having more Wz in his first 2 seezuns then Self in his first 3.  It took Seff 4 yrs to get to 20 Wz, right?  It'll only take Frank 3 yrs to get to a 30 W seezun.

Well, he went to the Elite Eight with Tulsa in '00.  How many McD AA's and NBA lottery picks were on that team?

I went to Cancun when I was a senior in HS and Salty blew away anything I ate there so it must be pretty good.   And authentic.     :users:

Um.  The food in Cancun is about as authentic as Taco Bell.

Angery Bentard . . . everything has to be caveat-ed for you for clarity . . . I should have said, "We could have legitimately asked the question.  How many NBA Lottery picks and Mc D AA's does Bill Self need at ku to win a 1st round game."

Bentard . . . now perpetually  :angryMJ:

How are K-State's new practice facilities coming along?  Break any ground on the construction yet?

How is ku's standalone track and football only practice facility coming along??  Construction going well??

Nice Crewhouse . . . too bad Lew had to steal all the money from the students to make it happen.

You know I just calculated, ku athletics is $54 million dollars in debt.

The area where the track facility is going is being used right now to store the materials for the practice facilities/AFH renovation.  It's coming along nicely, though.  They're making a lot of progress on it from what I can tell.

So they are putting off breaking ground because they have to store construction materials there?

Time to hire some new engineers.

Revenue sports are the first priority.  I'm sure they'll start the olympic sports complex next fall when the construction on ku's new practice facility/renovations to AFH is complete.

Well. Bill is batting 1000% in his 1st final four. If he chooses to coach another 20 years he most likely will go down as the winningest coach ever. It's possible for him to reach 1000 career wins if he wants it. So, he was 46 when he won his 1st NC. He is in great company. Dean Smith was 50, Roy Williams 54, Coach K 43, Wooden 53, Pitino 44, Boeheim 58, Bob Knight had 2 by 47. You guys are really showing your lbbiq.    :kstatriot:

    KSU '06 Alum
sigh

u put upwards of 30 other coaches in the situation bill is in and they do as good or better.  half the league doesn't give a crap about winning in basketball and with the unbalanced schedule ukans is a lock to finish in the top 2-3 every year and get a good seed out of it.  you sprinkle in an ncaa that only cares about counting the dollars cbs sends their way which allows guys like self (and the school in general) to get away with whatever they want on the recruiting trail and you have one of the easiest situations to win in.

face it, self didn't do anything real special b4 ukans, and it took 5 yrs and 5 nba draft picks and a lot of cheating to finally get to the final 4 last season.

for self to prove anything to me he'll have to win w/o cheating and get to multiple final fours the next few yrs. (hell, roy went to more final 4s in his first 5 years and he started with far less in a much stronger league).  doing great in the big 12 is completely meaningless, its a watered down league with little success nationally.

sigh (ghey)

anyway, bill had to filter out players and get his own to run his style of play. takes a few years for that process to take lbbiq nation. you bring up roy and his final fours and yet he did not get it done at kansas. bill is one for one at the final four. he'll be just fine and just think .....ksuck gets to deal with him for probably a couple more decades.

that's retarded.  why prove you can win w/o cheating when no one cares if you cheat?  seff and perkins are really good at what they do.  they should be congratulated and we should try to emulate that.
