Most of our great players throughout the years have been primma donnas.  Cocky, arrogant, bastards almost always make amazing football players.  Ell Roberson is one of the best examples.  Come home Bryce!!

yeah, they are cocky because they are f*cking good and they work their asses off. Why is this so hard to understand?

It is a tragedy because now, we have at least an extra month without Cat football until next year. I hate wasting my life away but I can hardly wait until next year.

Seriously, we haven't even landed a decent KANSAS kid in 3 years now. Our football program is filled with complete pieces of sh*t.

As a newbie with this being my first post, I will have earned no respect here as a poster and don't anticipate any kudos as a result of what I'm about to say here.  However I'm going to start off my posting here by telling you that your statement above is 180 degrees from the truth.  Now maybe, the quantity and quality might be down from the previous Snyder era, but to blatantly say "we haven't even landed a decent KANSAS kids in 3 years now", is unfair.  Are you telling me that Logan Dold isn't even decent?  How about Braden Wilson who will be on scholarship in January?  All he did in six weeks last summer was to place himself about 4 or 5th on the depth chart at a tightend position which he didn't even play in high school!  I'll tell you this...Braden is tough as nails and will see the field more sooner than later.

95% of college fball players are assholes.  it isn't predictive of being good.

I guess I'm not close enough to Logan Dold to defend my statement there, but I guarantee you that Braden Wilson is not "garbage" and you'll eat your words about that someday.  Have you even seen him play?  I'm guessing not!

assholes = dicks off the court

prima donnas = don't listen to coaches 100% because they think they know more than the coach (which they do)

Judging by your name, you are from Smith Center....and you would be bias about Braden.

I know Braden was first team all state & got some nice awards in the post season last year, but why should we be so excited about him??

He was grayshirted on a terrible 5-7 team, a prince player, & was only offered by d-2 & JUCO's teams. And here you are saying that he will be productive on a Big XII team.

Hell, BW wasn't even in the Kansas top 15 last year. :shy:

You can't be racist and like basketball.
Thought this was interesting for some reason.

Quote
46.  KANSAS STATE  (Previous rank: 28, 32, 23, 43, 37). Bill Snyder is the first to admit the Wildcats did not recruit well in-state. No Kansas prep recruits signed to play in Manhattan. Of course, Kansas isn't exactly a fountain of talent. Only a few superior prospects came out of the state this year, such as WR Gary Heaggans (PURDUE), OLs Travis Watkins and Tony Coker (KANSAS), Jesse Grove (HOUSTON), OL Chase Johnson (tcu) and DL Micah Minshall (MISSOURI). So, what is the deal? Snyder is picky about who he wants and he wanted offensive linemen. He went into Texas and signed two of the best: Chris Boggas and Nick Leckey. Well-publicized Iowa TE Jon Doty probably has better feet for the offensive line. Snyder needs help in his kicking game and signed Jared Brite from California, a pitcher who was actually discovered by Kansas State's baseball coaches. Six JUCOs come with this 18-signee effort, led by one of the nation's elite RBs, Josh Scobey, who will ease fears about Joe Hall's eligibility. Scobey, and his super moves, are already enrolled. QB Will Martin from Tennessee wasn't recruited by the WILDCATS until two weeks before Signing Day. Usually that's a bad sign. But Snyder never even heard of the guy until then. As you might expect, Martin reminds Snyder of Michael Bishop. He passed for 1,468 yds and 10 TDs and also ran for 1,026 yds and 17 scores.

You're right I am from Smith Center and yes, I'm probably biased.  However, we've had some pretty good players go through the program at KSU (Brooks Barta, Jeff Simoneau, Mark Simoneau, and Justin Montgomery).  All of these players were great Redmen players prior to wearing purple on Saturdays.  Braden has all of the same qualities and the same work ethic of all of the aforementioned.  He also has good size and can be flat out "mean and nasty" on the football field.  In four or five years you might be able to tell me I was dead wrong on this and I'll be man enough to eat crow, but I seriously don't think that'll be the case.

Those guys listed were evaluated & recruited by Snyder and many other schools though, and actually were offered a division one scholarship.

That's great BW works hard and is a good team player, but skills wise....it looks like he will be no help to us in this rebuilding process. :blank:

maybe you shouldn't go out of your way to pimp a dude who's never stepped on the field, and didn't have a single scholarship offer out of high school. you didn't see me bragging about my sister who was a walk-on for KSU tennis. No, she sucked relative to college tennis.

4th or 5th tight end? I don't even really know who our second tight end is. Mastrud was first string as a freshman, and he isn't even that good. Not really a great point in your argument... a fourth or fifth tight end isn't even worth a scholly imho.

You wouldn't be saying that if our four best tight ends all got injured.
