Got a new tv....hooking up the hdtv outputs of the 360 into my tv so that I can get killed a lot in halo in better quality.

Audio is fine, video is fine....except that it's black and white.

Any ideas why that is happening?

:kstatriot: to whoever helps.

Pull all your cords out and jam them back in.  Then, make sure the little switch on the cables is switched over to the right setting.   :dunno:

Bro, I just called the IT guy at my office and he said, "Try re-booting your computer."  Don't know if that's any help or not.

You're a heck of a go-getter, stevedave.

 :kstatriot: for effort, even if you were absolutely no help.

blue/gray? what the hell.  That is probably your problem.  How many hookups do you have? Should be 5 total. Red/white audio and red/green/blue video.

so 3 cables total, or 5?

3 = composite
5 = component

I actually have 6.   :confused:

I found a buddy that has the exact same tv, so he's going to look at his and tell me where everything is supposed to go.

Thanks though, Saul....you are truly the man.    :kstatriot: :kstatriot: :kstatriot:

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

    It's time to hit it.
same thing happened to me the first time I hooked up my old ps2 to the hdtv.  pulled them back out, and plugged them back in and it was all better.

Spoken like a guy that never played FPS on a computer before.

If you were one of those guys who ever played a lot of quake 2, CS, etc back in the day, there is practically no chance that you are a fan of the console FPS.

i am one of those people. i also realize the gaming environment and climate has changed since then.  when was the last time a great PC FPS was released?

I thought we were e-pals.

I was tired, it was dark in my apartment, and it was a new tv.  Eat me.

This thread is now about Duke Nukem 3D.  I loved that game.

Pretty much all FPS that are released on consoles are released on PC as well.  They usually look and play better too.  :flush:  Dual analog sticks to AIM? LMAO GMAFB!

I would love, absolutely love, for Microsoft to integrate all of their 360 FPS w/ PC servers.  PC players would absolutely dominate the console n00blars.
