Apparently to the NHL, referring to your ex/another players girlfriend as "sloppy seconds" gets you more of a suspension than these dangerous plays.

Way to set your priorities NHL.

Prolly has more to do with Avery dissing the way the NHL conducts business, and this was just a reason to suspend him.
